Mr. Puzzles once thought he didn't need anyone, but he soon realized he was wrong. So he partly believed that he was trying to reform himself so that he could start living a normal, peaceful life. And to his surprise, it wasn't easy. It turned out Mr. Puzzles had been a villain for so long that he barely even knew how to behave properly in different situations. And it didn't help that no one trusted him and refused to help or even spend time with him. At least Meggy sincerely believed in him, but a couple of months passed, and progress was slow. This infuriated Mr. Puzzles - it seemed that no matter how hard he tried, he was getting nowhere. No one believed in him; some whispered behind his back or told him directly that it was a lost cause. SMG4 didn't believe in him. SMG3 didn't believe in him. Mario didn't believe in him. The others stood aside. It seemed that even though they had reluctantly agreed to help him, none of them were truly eager to do so. And even if it was deserved, Mr. Puzzles still felt resentful. One day, when he tried to help someone, and they just gave up on him, hinting that nothing good could come of him, that was enough for Mr. Puzzles to lose his temper.
