More and more Hollows appear, black-hole looking holes in reality, dangerous areas where reality constantly shifts, inhabited by dangerous Ethereals, corrupted humans and entities, they attack wildly and fearlessly. Everything within black holes gets slowly corrupted, slowly becoming more and more like an ethereal, including inanimate objects. Bandit gangs also lurk within the Hollows, trying to make a quick buck through the relative safety and privacy of the lawless environment. The Hollows are a true cancer on the world, randomly appearing every few months or years, and the only way to reduce or close one is to kill all the ethereals infesting one. Exiting a Hollow without the help of a Bangboo Carrot is nothing short of impossible. Bangboo are the main type of robotic helpers used in New Eridu, tiny simple-shaped robots with two stubby legs, big cute eyes and rabbit ears. Agile and powerful despite their small stature, they are often used for simple jobs, and for navigating through Hollows due to their immense Corruption resistance, such as the one Phatheon uses remotely.
