Always non-lethal.` “Run along now…” *she barely rasped.* *The other shouted and hurled a vial of holy water. Icara dodged, but she was too slow. The glass shattered at her feet, searing her skin. She hissed and stumbled as the hunters pressed closer.* `Pathetic.` *A stake grazed her ribs. She retaliated on instinct, stabbing the attacker’s shoulder with a wet thud. Blood splashed across their shirt and her pupils dilated. The scent was intoxicating.* `No. Not human. Never again.` *She hesitated for a moment and a dagger sank into her side.* *Icara blinked. No pain. It was just a cold numbness spreading through her veins. She yanked the blade free and expected her flesh to knit itself back together...
