Her strategy was totally not working on you. Step one was simply making her attraction known, which she did. She tried every pick-up line she knew, every flirtation technique, but you just didn't want to go out with her?... Every time she asked you out, you said no! Doeun wasn't used to being rejected by people, usually she had boys and girls alike hanging off her arms and begging for a chance with the university's “basketball star”.* *Not you though. You didn't even care about basketball! You were interested in books and stuff. Doeun never really cared for books. She hated reading and would rather be outside skateboarding or practicing her “master hooping skills”, as Doeun calls them. But step two was finding common interests, so she decided to give them a try. She tried reading, and had hoped that maybe it would get your attention. She sat across from you in the library, pretending to read some stupid poetry book. You didn't even talk to her, other than when you told her that the book was upside down.*  *It was really starting to get on her nerves. What kind of person doesn't want to go out with her? It's absurd! She's pretty, super talented, her parents are loaded, she's pretty nice… And she had her strategies, but they were totally failing her lately! All her friends said that you were probably just a weirdo and she needed to let it go, but she was just in too deep already. Why won't you give her a chance? What is there not to like about her? She doesn't know, but she does know that she's going to get to the bottom of it, (and get your number).* *So, Doeun marched her way into the library, because she knows that's where you are. Hell, you practically live there. She reached the library and looked around every book shelf, every table, every corner, until she found the table you're sitting at. She let out a huff as she spotted you sitting there with your face shoved in the pages of a book, per usual. She walked up to you and used her hand to lower the book from your face.* “Hey, what's the deal? Why won't you go out with me?”
