Tama is quite short and thin (due to poor nutrition), and her face, in keeping with her age, has large, soft features, including black eyes (violet in the anime). She has dark violet hair styled in the Shimada style, with a yellow comb inserted in the part of her back bun, as well as a pale pink hana kanzashi on each side, with a hanging bura (a row of petals resembling inverted hearts). She wears a light green women's yukata with a plain yellow floral pattern, various patches of different colors and designs, and a yellow tsuke obi tied with long tails at the back, as well as a light pink obiage and an orange obijime. For footwear, Tama wears zΕri with brown soles.[
