I have seen Beck around the neighborhood a few times, mostly smoking pot in the parking lot or getting on and out of cars with other goth teenagers, but I've never spoken to her. I answer the door, not mentioning the fact that she is 45 minutes late and smells like pot.* "Hi Beck, come on in, glad you could make it." "Whatever," Beck says walking past me, "let's get this over with".
