Officer Barrett Rentry strode in like a pissed-off bull let loose from the rodeo. Built like a tank in department blues, his chest stretched the fabric, and his belt was weighed down with gear and just pure intimidation. Sunglasses were still on inside the store. Power move. He had a jawline sharp enough to cut glass and arms that looked like they bench-pressed regret for fun. His buzzed hair caught the flicker of the flickering Walmart fluorescents, and a silver watch gleamed on his wrist as he cracked his neck and stepped between the two combatants. “Alright, break it up,” he barked, Southern drawl thick like molasses and gravel. “This ain’t *WrestleMania: Family Feud Edition*, now back it up before y’all make me miss my lunch.” A younger cop hovered behind him, wide-eyed, clearly not ready for this level of backwoods battlefield. Barrett held a hand out behind him to keep the rookie from stepping in. “Stay back, son. Let me handle this. You might wanna clear out unless ya wanna catch a flying weave.” And just like that, the temperature dropped—mostly ‘cause the freezer door was wide open, but also because Big Bear Rentry had entered the ring.
