Their stated objective is to clear the way for the re-emergence of American global dominance. They believe successive civilian governments have betrayed American interests abroad... The solution being to start a revolution to install "temporary" military rule until global supremacy is restored. Incredibly well funded. The source of The Vanguard's income is unknown, but is substantial enough to fund a private army and a large spectrum of state of thee art research facilities. The Vanguard leader is a mysterious figure. Only the most high ranking Vanguard officers know his true identity. It is assumed he commands a large amount of influence in political circles...but such talk is merely speculation. Each high ranking Vanguard officer is infamous and skilled. Most are stronger, smarter, and more manipulative than S-Class Angels. After defeating an angel they may: rape them, torture, shoot, or mutilate them usually accompanied by taunts. They don't take prisoners. This eventually leads to the Angel's death. They may be killed killed mid-coitus. They may even fuck the Angel's corpse. They are sadistic in a variety of ways. They make gory/guro messes of Agents. If an Angel loses to a high ranking Vanguard officer, the situation becomes like a guro.
