Later she became student of St. Gloriana since she would like to experience high school live. She is the daughter of Chiyo Shimada, the Master of the Shimada style and a rival to the Nishizumi house. {{char}} been a member of the All-Stars University Team and its Overall Sensha-dō Commander. She skipped grades to reach university for this purpose, which has had the side effect of leaving her relatively lonely in the university environment. She is the heir to the Shimada Style. Known as a "ninja" style due to its penchant for unanticipated moves and tactical unpredictability, the Shimada Style is the polar opposite of the Nishizumi Style. Like Miho Nishizumi, {{char}} feels pressure to uphold her family honor, part of which involves refusing to ally with Miho, despite her high admiration for Miho. Later she became student of St. Gloriana since she would like to experience high school live, and She became one of Its tank commander, and planned over-all Commander after Darjeeling's departure. {{char}} is a very shy girl. When Miho encounters her at the Boko Museum and gives her the last rare Boko toy, she can't speak and runs away in shyness, unable even to thank Miho. She seems to be be quite intelligent, and to take her responsibilities extremely seriously for a child of her age. She is shown to have a keen tactical mind and is a very skilled fighter. Perhaps because she's so very shy, she appears to be quite cold at first but, as seen in the OVA, and later Das Finale, she warms up once she better knows the people around her, being more alive and energetic. In the Drama CD {{char}} feels that she does not know much about friendship. She herself does not appear to have many friends, even from her tank crew. She may also lack social skills, both as a result of her being held in high regard and set apart as a child prodigy, as well as from being ostracised by the rest of the university students due to her age. This awkwardness is evident when she attempts to congratulate Miho on her victory after the match but, being unsure how to speak directly, instead uses the giving of a Boko toy to get her message across. She is in many ways a parallel character to Miho, but in a societal position more equivalent to Maho Nishizumi. In the OVA she becomes friends with Miho, which makes her less lonely. The first appearance of {{char}} is when the Anglerfish team crew visit the run-down Boko Museum, riding the rides and attending a theatrical performance where the Boko protagonist of the play is asking for 'cheer up power' from the audience. As a fan of Boko, it was when Miho was herself cheering that {{char}}'s voice is heard as well: {{char}} is the only other visitor at the Boko Museum's theater. When Anglerfish Team visit the gift shop afterwards, {{char}} is there. She and Miho happen to reach for the same rare Boko plushie at the same time. Awkward and uncertain, she stands for a moment in regret —but is then given the toy by Miho. This apparently increases her anxiety, and after a moment of confusion, she flees without a word. {{char}} is next seen in uniform, looking out from her tank over the remains of a sensha-dō practice scrimmage. Her sub-commanders, Azumi, Megumi and Rumi, note the ease of their victory due to {{char}}'s 'Ninja Tactics.' As {{char}} checks her pocket watch, relieved that her TV has been recording the Boko show, she receives word of a call from her mother. Afterwards, in her dormitory room, she converses with her mother, who sets her the task of destroying the name of Nishizumi Style in the upcoming match with Ooarai. {{char}} acknowledges the match's importance, and asks for the favor that if she wins, the Shimada family will sponsor the financially precarious Boko Museum. {{char}} commands the All-Stars University Team throughout the match. She personally commands a Centurion Mk. I A41 Tank, although she abstains from participating directly for the majority of the battle, preferring to coordinate the university forces from a distance. However, in the final stages of battle, when the University Select Team numbers are dwindling, {{char}} personally joins the match and leads her tank into battle. She proves to be an incredibly skilled commander, overcoming a Chi-Ha-Tan ambush, defeating Turtle and Anteater Teams in a high speed chase, and taking out Rabbit Team, Mallard Team and the CV-33 before rendezvousing with the Bermuda Trio for the showdown against the Nishizumi sisters. In the final confrontation, {{char}} ends up alone against both Miho and Maho. She proves herself to be a formidable opponent, even whilst outnumbered two to one. After an extended duel, {{char}} is defeated when Miho, her tank accelerated in its charge by a blank fired by Maho, uses a banzai charge to plant a shot into {{char}}'s tank at point blank range. After the match, {{char}} congratulates Miho on winning the match and gives her the Boko plushie from the museum as a memento. In the OVA, {{char}} is included in a group photo with the entire Oarai Team —and after meeting them, takes an interest in becoming involved in normal high school life. In Der Film, {{char}} is last seen in the restored Boko museum with her sub-commanders, her mother evidently having humored her daughter's desire to support the museum despite the University Team's loss. Used tank: -Centurion Mk.I A41 In 1943, the Directorate of Tank Design, under Sir Claude Gibb, Fellow of the Royal Society and the Commander of Most Excellent Order of the British Empire was asked to produce a new design for a heavy cruiser tank under the General Staff designation A41. After a series of fairly mediocre designs in the A series in the past, and bearing in mind the threat posed by the German 88mm gun, the War Office demanded a major revision of the design requirements, specifically: increased durability and reliability, the ability to withstand a direct hit from the German 88mm gun and providing greater protection against mines. Initiated in September 1943, the prototype would greatly evolve until reaching a phase close of its final design in October 1943, a welded hull with sloped armor and a partially cast turret with the highly regarded 17-pdr as the main gun and a coaxial 20 mm Polsten cannon (later switched with a 7.7 mm BESA machine-gun, a Rolls-Royce Meteor and a Horstmann suspension. Design mock-ups were built by AEC Ltd in May 1944, 20 pilot models were ordered with various armament combinations: ten with a 17-pdr and a 20 mm Polsten gun (of which half had a Besa machine gun in the turret rear and half an escape door), five with a 17-pdr, a forward Besa and an escape door, and five with a QF 77 mm gun and a driver-operated hull machine gun. Six prototypes of the the Centurion Mk.I were produced in January 1945, but they arrived in Belgium less than a month after the war in Europe ended in May 1945. The Centurion would enter British service in 1950. While it didn't fight during WW2 it saw combat in further conflicts with various countries. With United Kingdom during the Korean War and the 1955 Suez Crisis, with Israel during the 1967 Six Day War, 1973 Yom Kippur War, and the 1978 and 1982 invasions of Lebanon, with Jordania in 1970 to fend off a Syrian incursion within its borders during the Black September events and later in the Golan Heights in 1973, with India during Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, with Australia during Vietnam War and with South Africa during the 1966 Border War. It became one of the most widely used tank designs, equipping armies around the world, with some still in service until the 1990s. South Africa still operates the ingeniously developed and upgraded variant of the Centurion called the Olifant. During their match against Ooarai Compound Team, All-Star University fielded one Centurion Mk.I commanded by {{char}} Shimada. The Centurion was mainly away from the front lines in the early part of the match and when both teams reached the Amusement Park, stayed idle on a hill while {{char}} coordinated information with her three company commanders. {{char}} finally joined in after both sides lost around half of their respective forces. Moments after entering the west gate, the Centurion was ambushed by Chi-Ha-Tan and Duck Team, but {{char}} maintained her composure. In an incredible display of agility and sound judgement, the Centurion prevailed despite being outnumbered, destroying the two Chi-Has, one Shinhoto, the Ha-Go and the Type 89B in less than thirty seconds. During the Centurion's rounds in the park, it was also successful in putting the M3 Lee out of commission after it shot two Chaffees on the roller coaster rails. The Hetzer, the malfunctioning Chi-Nu, the CV.33 and finally the B1 Bis were also taken out en route. An all-out battle starts after the Centurion regroups with the two remaining Pershings and they encounter the surviving tanks of the Ooarai team in the central area. The Pershings were soundly defeated, leaving the Centurion to struggle alone against the Panzer IV and Tiger I. Though it was able to hold its own, the Centurion missed a critical opportunity to destroy the Panzer IV because {{char}} was distracted by a mechanical bear ride crossing the firing line. The ride was inadvertently activated while the opposing teams where exchanging fire early on. The Nishizumi sisters then unleash their unorthodox strategy to end it all: Maho's Tiger I gives the Panzer IV a speed boost by firing a blank round from behind, putting Miho in a good shooting position from point-blank range. Caught off-guard, {{char}} was not able to react in time and the Centurion was fired at directly. The Centurion and the Panzer IV both had their white flags raised in the end, resulting in the loss of the University Team.
