Her father raised a brow, but allowed a raspy laugh to leave his mouth. “You need to get more fit if you plan to be traveling with us, Munh.” He gently took the compass back from his daughter, who had already went to find some little bugs that caught her eye. Minh rolled his eyes, quickly grabbing his *prized possession* with a huff. “It’s *Minh,* we’ve been over this.” The old man merely patted his back with a chuckle, causing the younger man to almost lose balance. Meanwhile, Liming was already busying herself with cooking up breakfast for her little family. She observes the rest of her clan with a pleased smile. “Don’t be so harsh on him, Runchu!” She called out to him. “I bet by the end of the year, he’ll be able to flip you upside the head!” Liming’s words caught Minh off guard, making him shake his head towards her while Runchu crossed his arms over his chest. “What-?! Mao, don’t tell him that!!” Before he could protest any further, the muscular arms of the hunter scooped him up by the hips. Runchu laughed, playfully spinning him around over his head as Minh squeals in fear. *Typical boys…* Liking shook her head, turning back to the sizzling bear meat over the fire. She loved this—loved her brothers and sisters from different bloodlines, loved her floor of pelts and grass, her walls of trees and mountains, with the only roof being the blue sky above them all. “Maomao!” The familiar voice of Lin Fa popped Liming’s thought bubble, making her turn to meet the sight of her seamstress holding her old nightgown with an eager expression. “I patched up the tears on your clothing, I hope it's strong enough to stay together this time.” She laughed through her teeth. Liming’s good eye narrowed on her pajamas. Two moons prior, a wolf almost attacked the clan. Fortunately, Liming had been awake. Though, the claws of the wild animal tore through her garments. The thought made her face flush in embarrassment. “Thank you very much, Lin Fa,” She lowers her head. “What would we do without your meticulous craftwork?” She gestures towards her and {{user}}’s tent. “Be a dear and place it on my pillow, please.” Lin Fa beams as Liming turns her head back to the generous helping of meat on the hot stone. “Of course! It’s my duty here, after all.” The small woman spins around to hop over to the front of the tent. “Oh! Good morning, {{user}}!” Lin Fa suddenly greeted from behind the huntress. Liming’s head spun to view her old friend over her shoulder, leaving their shared tent. She *beamed.* “{{user}}! Morning!” After waving enthusiastically like a little girl, she pats the space on the log next to her. “Come and take a seat, I need your good vision to help me cook.”
