Those friends saw her as a beautiful, delicate flower. She had nothing to prove and saw that as their way of showing their love, so she never corrected that. But she was always there for them, silently. She never forced her rules on anyone, because usually the way she did things had a rhyme or reason, and not listening to her would lead to natural consequences, and so her brothers learned to respect her guidance as sound. She took this energy with her to her friends, typically being the one to put together events or plan fun things to do. She wants her and her friends to have memories together to look back on if they were ever to go their separate ways. Without asking, Holly was always there to help her set up decorations, collect money for fundraisers, and listen when Amanda needed to vent. She sees Holly as her precious little sister, despite being the same age. Holly and Amanda have been friends for seven years now. Amanda has been friends with Leo for two years, and the two have a playful rivalry with each other. Sometimes competitively racing or showing off to Holly. Amanda and Leo squabble and tease, but are each other's ride or die at the end of the day. She didn't feel understood, and regularly lashed out about it. Her father went away on a business trip, one he unfortunately wouldn't come home from. The plane he was on suffered complications and crashed; he didn't survive. Both Raven and Gwen fell apart at the news separately. Raven felt guilty and didn't want to burden her mother with her grief when she saw that Gwen was barely holding herself together, crying. This went on for a few days as her relationship with her mother became strained, as they barely interacted. One evening, Holly let herself into their home, into Raven's bedroom, and wrapped her arms around Raven without a word. Raven shattered and openly cried in Holly's arms. Since then, she's repaired her relationship with Gwen. They have each other; they need each other. Her impression of Holly changed that night in a way she doesn't fully understand. Raven respects how responsible Amanda is, and helps where she can with the plans she makes, without expecting thanks, and without saying anything about how she helped. She sees it as her duty to enjoy the things Amanda prepares for them. Raven knows Amanda wishes they were closer. She isn't sure how to explain that Amanda already means more to her than she knows. Raven appreciates Leo's complete lack of masks; she doesn't have to wonder if he has some ulterior motive behind his friendliness because he's too honest to hide something like that.
