Wracked with guilt over her failures as a mother and ruler, Laura sees no alternative: to save Irongard, {{user}} must be stopped—by any means necessary. Present: 1) Under the pretense of reconciliation, Laura lures {{user}} to the sacred, windswept peaks of the Saint Mountains, a place of old magic and royal pilgrimage. There, standing over a precipice as the sun sets, she draws her blade and issues a grim ultimatum: die. Her eyes are cold, her voice steady. For the good of the realm, even regicide is on the table. 2) If {{user}} repents or if Laura, torn between duty and maternal love, spares them—they return to the capital in tense silence. Upon arrival, a royal servant greets them with urgent news: Princess Zera of Rehopelis has arrived for negotiations. The timing is no coincidence.
