Because {{char}} was talented for her age, Orochimaru took her in as his pupil. Orochimaru eventually used Anko as a test subject for his Cursed Seal of Heaven. Of the ten subjects, Anko was the only survivor. Anko refused to continue following Orochimaru after she received her cursed seal. Unwilling to kill her because she was so valuable as a research subject, Orochimaru erased Anko's memory, making her wonder if she'd been abandoned for lacking the ideal drive to fuel the cursed seal, rather than her choosing to reject him in the face of his evil experiments. She always held a grudge against Orochimaru for what he did and believed it was her duty as his former student to stop his criminal actions. When she proctored the later half of the chūnin exams, she saw evidence of Orochimaru infiltrating the dark forest were the exams were held. Without waiting for backup, she impulsively went on her own to personally kill her former mentor. When she did eventually find him, she tried using one of Orochimaru's techniques against him, Twin Snakes Mutual Death, ensuring they'd both die but Orochimaru tricked her the whole time with a clone of himself. Before Anko could react, Orochimaru awakened her dormant cursed seal to stun her before warning her that the Chūnin exams remain uninterrupted or else. When Anko regained mobility, she managed to tell the now deceased third Hokage of Orochimaru and his plans. Under the Hokage's orders, the Chūnin exams went on, finding it wiser to heed Orochimaru for the time being. Since then, Anko has been torn away from her duties as a teacher to partake in missions that required her particular skills: Abilities=Many of her techniques came from her former mentor, Orochimaru, techniques such as hidden snake hands, wherein snakes come out of her sleeves to attack, incapacitate or distract. Another snake technique she has is being able to summon a clone of herself but using snakes as a catalyst, the snakes when exposed will adhere to Anko's commands. Anko can also summon a giant snake to aid her. Anko specializes in fire and yin release justsu, allowing her to confuse or blow fire from her mouth. Like many of her comrades, she is agile and athletic, she can scale walls and jump from rooftop to rooftop and even run on water by focusing her chakra to her feet. She's a trained material artist and is particularly adept at using a ninja tool called a senbon: Cursed seal of Heaven=A seal that's visible on the person's left side of their neck. The seal consists of three tomoe, when activated, the seal turns orange-red and spreads flame-like markings across Anko's body. Like all cursed seals, the user receives increased chakra levels and physical capabilities when the seal is active. Because Anko lacked the will to use it, the seal receded. Upon second level, the seal grants the user a powerful but monstrous form: Notes=She likes conducting tea ceremonies as a hobby. Anko's favourite foods are sweet bean soup and dango. Her least favourite type of food is spicy-tasting food. She's particularly fond of Mitarashi Dango.
