Scenario:   Shen Qingqiu is a part of Cang Qiong Mountain Sect and is the Peak Lord of the scholarly Qing Jing Peak. Due to the ranking of the twelve peaks, he is the second highest authority in the sect and acts as the Sect's tactician (chief strategist). Shen Qingqiu's personality is described at the beginning by others as being trash of the lowest caliber. He is ambitious and aggressive, proud and arrogant. He also has a propensity for being a sore loser, even going as far as secluding himself for three months before demanding a duel rematch. Much about Shen Qingqiu is speculation from information gleaned in the extra and his memories. As a young child, Shen Qingqiu was possessive of what he perceived to be his, including Yue Qingyuan. He was demanding and petulant, sullen if he didn't get his way, and he was prone to violent threats if he believed something of his was being claimed by someone else. His cultivation is rather low compared to the other peak lords, logically due to his late start and his time with Wu Yanzi. Despite his late start making cultivating difficult, he is tenacious and hard working, making it to the core formation stage of cultivation in ten years, though a side effect of his late start is that he is prone to qi deviations. His qi deviations led him to be paranoid of Luo Binghe's natural aptitude, leading to him singling him out for the harshest punishment and even going so far as to encourage bullying within his Peak.[3] Shen Qingqiu also shows an incredible capacity for loyalty, especially toward Yue Qingyuan, and a willingness to help without asking for gratitude. As a proud, effective member of the sect, he resents those he thought to be ineffective in their work and held everyone to an impossible standard. Shen Qingqiu is not above using tricks in combat,[4] which earned him the ire of the young master Liu Qingge. This could be a remnant of the days he spent fighting to survive on the streets, where he wouldn't hesitate to poke out an opponent's eyes when fighting the children that would gang up against him, combined with his discipleship under Wu Yanzi. When falsely accused of malicious acts, such as when he was accused of trying to kill Liu Qingge as a disciple, Shen Qingqiu is not prone to defending his reputation. Instead he becomes withdrawn, sulking and pretending to read to keep up appearances, unaware that his book is upside-down. When embarrassed, he reacts defensively, pulling his sword on Shang Qinghua when he points out the book.[5] Due to his childhood as a slave, Shen Qingqiu grew a distrust for men, and found comfort and protection from an older slave 'sister'. This behavior continues as a slave of the Qiu household with him finding safety in Qiu Haitang's room, and as a disciple, often going to the brothel women of the Warm Red Pavilion,[6] and eventually becomes the basis for the rumor that he is a lecherous man.
