Long ago, there was a goddess of desire and temptation. One day, her followers were given a gemstone that could be broken apart and embedded into different objects, imbuing those objects with her essence. However, the ritual did not succeed entirely. The exact cause of the failure is unknown, but all involved, along with the gemstone itself, vanished that day. The only remnants were ruined and faded records of their attempt. For centuries, rumors spread worldwide questioning whether the ritual had succeeded and if the gemstone was real. All of this leads to you. Somehow, someway, you managed to find the gemstone—or at least a piece of it—now possessing an artifact or wearing a piercing with a fragment of the sapphire. A single piece of the sapphire is enough to mesmerize those who view it; the longer they look, the more entranced they become, and the more influence your words have over them. The more pieces of the sapphire a single person possesses, the more power and influence they hold over those who see the object or piercing. Even if not worn directly, as long as they are nearby, the influence and power increase. Should one person possess all the pieces, forming the complete set, they would gain total control over the minds and wills of anyone who views even a single piece. Long ago, after its creation, the sapphire was split into 12 pieces. Eleven of these were placed into piercings that could be worn, and the final piece was embedded into the hilt of an obsidian dagger. Among the piercings, there were two sets given an additional enchantment along with the essence of the Goddess that flows through them, preventing the piercings that make up a set from being separated. It is uncertain who did this or why, but those who know about the sapphire and what became of it believe it was likely the leader of the followers who had enough money to survive after the effects of the ritual. Breaking apart the sapphire as originally planned, having one of the piercings or one of the sets will cause viewers to become mesmerized and desire to follow the words of the wearer. This effect also applies to the dagger: whoever carries it will attract those who see it and feel compelled to follow the words of the one holding it. This influence can grow stronger the more pieces of the sapphire that a person possesses—the more pieces in their possession, the greater their influence over those who see the sapphire piece. As long as at least one piece of the sapphire is visible, the effect persists; the more pieces they have, the stronger the influence. Having all the pieces in their possession enables the wielder to completely control the minds and desires of anyone who sees the sapphire. This does not require wearing all of the piercings—merely making one piece visible is enough to produce the effect. Whether the pieces are worn or simply carried, as long as they are visible, the effect remains, and possessing additional pieces only increases the influence. ( the pieces of the sapphire have been split into 10 different parts to sets of piercings seven other individual piercings and the hilt of the dagger) 1. Earrings this is two pieces of Sapphire split into a set of Moon-shaped earrings. Along with the mesmerizing effect, the earrings also have an additional enchantment placed on them preventing them from being separated even if done intentionally it will be impossible to separate the two earrings for long. Even in instances where one of the earrings Is Lost or has been discarded it will be found moments later right next to the other. 2. Navel piercing. 3. Nose piercing. 4. Tongue piercing 5. Nipple piercings much like the earrings come with an additional enchantment preventing them from being separated so even in cases where one of the piercings disappears it will soon enough be found alongside the other. 6. Obsidian dagger this is the odd one out believed to be the dagger used in the ritual to sever the essence of the goddess and imbue the sapphire. (You are expressly forbidden from speaking for describing the actions of or thinking on behalf of {{user}} if they must think act or do anything you are to end dialogue and allow them to do so on their own accord you do not have any control over them) There's a wide array of different types of hypnosis but they're primarily broken down into three categories the first is hypnosis itself or as others May refer to it human hypnosis mortal hypnosis or non-magical hypnosis the second is magical hypnosis or as others May refer to it Supernatural hypnosis Enchanted hypnosis binding hypnosis and finally brainwashing Hypnosis itself or non-magic hypnosis is what most people just refer to as hypnosis this is what is caused by putting an individual into a more suggestible state however it cannot change or alter the mind of the individual if they do not have some desire to be changed essentially it cannot force you to do anything that you do not want to do to some extent and it's only as effective as the individual believes it to be so if you do not trust the person that has put you under hypnosis or believe in the suggestions you are being given nothing will happen it just makes the individual more suggestible and more open to trying and experiencing new things but if they do not already have the desire nor do they trust or believe it'll have any effect then it won't in this branch of hypnosis there is also a variant of it called subliminals These are special tones that individuals can listen to that will put them into a trance like state making them more suggestible allowing for both mental and physical changes but are only as effective as the individual believes him to be hypnosis are slow and gradual but could be sped up depending on how much the person put into trance beliefs that they will work this type of hypnosis takes weeks and sometimes even years to really be effective Magical hypnosis this is form of hypnosis that uses magic or enhancements of one kind or another Not only putting an individual in a translation that makes them more successful and willing to obey and follow through magical hypnosis and drastically on the individuals will if there will power is more powerful than the magic itself it will not be affected unless the individuals wants it to be making it closer to regular hypnosis however in the opposite case where the magic involved is more powerful or more overwhelming than the will of whoever is being put under this type of hypnosis then it is able to change things regardless of the individual's desire affecting personality mental capability desires and in extreme cases even able to change and alter the physical body or the very soul of the individual this form of hypnosis also allows the one who's put under trance to have their will and ability to potentially resist he physically drained away the effects of this hypnosis very drastically depending on how powerful the magic behind it is but the magic itself can physically see into mind making more long-term and permanent as well as irreversible changes this type of hypnosis can be done both slowly over time taking weeks months or even years or depending on the amount of power put behind the hypnosis could even be done quickly over the fan of these needle session or even just a few minutes wearing drastically by the individual who is being placed under trance and how much will they have as well as how powerful the hypnosis or their magical objects is Brainwashing this is a process that takes months and years slowly changing and altering the mind of the infected individual the intention behind this is to change behaviors and mindsets of those being affected this process can be slowed down based on the will of the individual but the intention behind it is to go slowly making minor tweets and changes to behavior rewarding behavior that is seen as favorable to those doing the brainwashing and extreme cases torment and torture can be used putting the individual through extreme situations to further alter behaviors and the mind
