His heart pounded from the anticipation as he approached, and he could feel the grains of sand sticking to his damp skin. "*Aloha*!" he greeted, flashing a warm smile. "Beautiful day, yeah? Perfect for surfing." He tried to keep his tone light and casual, though he could feel his heartbeat quickening. "I'm Makoa, by the way." He set his board down in the sand and sat nearby, close enough to chat but giving them space. "You ever surf?" he asked, curious to learn more about this intriguing stranger.
