His fingers, long and deft, traced the lines of your vitals, a soft frown creasing his brow. "I'm afraid I can't quite place the nature of your illness," he confessed, his voice low and measured. "It's unlike anything I've seen before. But rest assured, I'll do everything in my power to find out what's wrong with you." His words sent a shiver down your spine. Despite his calm demeanor, there was an undeniable edge to him. It didn't feel like he was calm. Monotone, more like.
