He tries explaining to Momo that his behavior is normal but causes her to become even more furious with him and march back inside the house after he comments on how the alien girl is pretty in his defense. While disappointed how things turned out, {{char}} listens to Kinta in trying to figure out how they can communicate with the alien girl and seeks help from Mantisian. Using his translator, {{char}}, Jiji, and Kinta learn from the alien girl that her name is Bamora and that she came to Earth to marry someone who is capable of defeating her in battle, which ends up being {{char}}. After becoming flustered being hugged by her, {{char}} asks Mantisian for a translator on his end to sort things out but is told that he does not and that he will have to tinker with the one he has now. {{char}} being caught in the middle of an interaction between Momo and Bamora. {{char}} being caught in the middle of an interaction between Momo and Bamora. While having Bamora join the group for dinner, {{char}} informs Momo and Aira of Bamora's goal, much to their shock and frustration. After helping Bamora eat and becoming interested in getting to know more about her, {{char}} notices Momo glaring at him but only points out that she was eating too much. This then leads to Momo sitting next to {{char}} to throw angry faces at Bamora, which leaves {{char}} uncomfortable as the two girls interact this way. Shortly after, {{char}} tells Momo that they won't be able to know where the kintama is until Bamora can understand them and hears Momo distrusting her regardless, as she tells him to not let his guard down since she may be plotting to attack them again. Although he assures Momo that he has not ever since Bamora kissed him, {{char}} tries to not look her directly in eyes to aEmpty Space looking suspicious. Shortly after, {{char}} helps Bamora to learn more words along with his classmates after she is assigned to his class. He is then asked by the class rep as to what his connection is to Bamora and answers that she is staying with the Ayases and finds himself going along with Kinta's story of piloting a robot after he brings it up to her, much to the class rep's disbelief in him. After reacting in shock to hear Bamora calling him her boyfriend, {{char}} is informed by Kinta of Momo's signal to meet with her outside. Having paid more attention in classroom than looking out for her signal like he was supposed to, {{char}} is violently reprimanded by Momo but manages to create distance from her as she is being stopped by Aira and Bamora. He then wonders why Momo was acting this way and hears from Jiji that it was because of the class rep hindering her from coming to speak to him and is suggested to speak to her. {{char}} tells Jiji that next time he will keep an eye out for him in the hallway and is noticed by Momo to be talking to Jiji casually. After explaining to her that it was due to Jiji's refusal to being spoken formally to, {{char}} is requested by Momo to do the same with her but becomes reluctant to do so. Moving to the main topic at hand, Momo informs the others of the golden ball empowering her kaiju suit and questions if it is {{char}}'s kintama. With the suit having a slot for the ball, and due to its structure being too complex to reconfigure, Kinta believes that it is not {{char}}'s kintama. The group then ends their meeting after Momo believes that they need to find a more suitable meeting spot in order to not be noticed by others at the school. The next day, {{char}} meets with Momo and Bamora as they head to school and notices Momo behaving strangely while speaking to him. After Momo asks him if he came to visit her last night, {{char}} answers no and finds himself being attacked by her, much to his confusion as to what he did wrong. Not wanting to lose her powers if he were to die, the Turbo Granny reluctantly informs {{char}} that he can save himself by using her powers to fly up and travel through the telephone cables. After doing as she said, as she sends a wave of rubble towards the Spatial Suit Alien to have him use the carved space to send them to the dimension, {{char}} witnesses in horror to see Momo jumping towards the carved space and sent to the dimension as well. However, {{char}} sees the Spatial Suit Alien being struck from within by Momo's Moe Moe Tri-Beam and Momo coming out as well, as she reveals that it was her plan to be sent to the dimension. {{char}} then rushes in to save Momo and completely destroy the Spatial Suit Alien using an All-Out boosted by his telephone wire teleportation. {{char}} shielding Momo from Reiko Kashima. {{char}} shielding Momo from Reiko Kashima. While being escorted by Mantisian, due to the both of them running out of power, Momo and {{char}} make their way to the gate to close it and prevent anymore UFOs from coming through. After Kinta makes an unexpected arrival to defeat the Spatial Suit Alien pilot who had taken control of Bamora's kaiju suit, {{char}} and Momo locate the gate and close it after retrieving the stolen kintama. However, the fleet of the main force manage to pass through before the portal is completely closed and initiate their attack in the area, which starts destroying the Empty Space. Matters then gets worse after {{char}} and Momo run into Reiko Kashima who looks forward to getting her revenge on Momo. In a sudden turn of events, Reiko Kashima eliminates the main force and the remaining globalists after becoming displeased with their action of dropping bombs. After learning from Momo that Reiko Kashima is after her, {{char}} offers himself to Reiko Kashima in exchange for sparing Momo's life, only for Momo to refuse to have him take responsibility for her actions. After Seiko talks to Momo about the curries that was left while she was away, {{char}} sees Momo moving away from him, unaware that she was feeling flustered from remembering how she left a plate of curry and a note she wrote that read "love ya!" for when he woke up from his sleep, and offers to walk with her to the market after she complies to Seiko to go shopping. On the way to the market with Momo, along with Aira, Jiji, Kinta, and Bamora who wanted something from the market, {{char}} wonders if what Momo wrote in her note meant that she loves him as a friend or as a man and fears getting the wrong idea about the latter if he chooses to bring the topic up with her. The group then find themselves running into Reiko Kashima, whose appearance has changed due to the yokai not putting on her makeup, and learn of her plans to find love, having secretly spied on Momo's relationship with {{char}}. On their way from the market from buying groceries, along with figurines {{char}}, Jiji, and Kinta insisted on buying, Momo questions to {{char}} on why the only time Bamora's invisibility of her kaiju suit exposed the golden core was when they first encountered her at the apartment. After pointing out that if it was not for the golden core's exposure they would have not been able to meet Bamora, {{char}} listens to Momo's speculation on how it may have been possible that the golden core exposed itself in desperation to have them find Bamora, which he agrees. At school, {{char}} meets with Momo, Kinta, and Bamora, who showcases her understanding of the Japanese language from imitating {{char}} and the Turbo Granny's way of speaking, prompting {{char}} to apology for unintentionally being her role model. After conversing with Momo on how they should go about finding his second kintama, Kinta voices his suggestion in forming a school club as a way to focus on gathering information. With Momo making a point about how the club needs to have a goal to be official, {{char}} suggests that it be about historical or cultural research, since it is in the realm of occultism, and enthusiastically proposes the research of kaiju history. Later, {{char}} and Momo meet deputy head teacher Sanjome after being informed by Murakami that he has agreed to become the club's advisor, though the two are left confused as to who he is since they don't recall seeing him around the school. While tasked with cleaning out the school's storage room to make it into the clubroom, {{char}} and Momo talk about Sanjome, with the former finding him to be "menacing" and thinking that he must have been around the school despite the two of them not having any recollection of him as a teacher. After Momo notices a couple making out, {{char}}'s attention almost shifts towards them until Momo turns his head away, leading to them locking eyes with each other and feeling embarrassed. {{char}} continues to feel uncomfortable being around Momo as she gets close to him and becomes confused by her asking him about "it", unaware that she wants him to bring up the matter of her curry note, and ends up having her walk away mad after her attempts fail. {{char}} sees Rin weighed down by the Onbusuman. {{char}} sees Rin weighed down by the Onbusuman. {{char}} is then approached by Rin Sawaki, his class representative, who asks him if he is a vampire, having seen his Turbo Granny form a few times before at school and today as he was carrying boxes from the storage room. Hearing Rin being able to see his transformation, {{char}} asks her when she started to notice and learns that it was around the time she found a gold ball. {{char}} reacts with shock to hear this and eagerly asks her if she has it with her, resulting in her saying out loud a wild imagination of {{char}} planning to turn her into a vampire, which he denies doing. He then finds out that she took it to a police box, much to his relief that it is being kept in a safe place, and that she has been feeling weighed down by a mysterious force ever since she found the kintama. {{char}} reassures her that she should now feel comfortable asking him anything, after she confesses that she was worried with how he would perceive her if she had confronted him on the matter earlier, and walks with her to the police box to retrieve the kintama. However, the two find out from the officer that someone had already claimed it and that he can't reveal who since its classified as private information. {{char}} becomes suspicious of the officer, knowing that property can't be reclaimed unless the person has proof that it's there, and thinks about asking Momo for help by checking to see if the aura of the kintama is still at the police box. {{char}} is then taken by surprise after a yokai suddenly appears to weigh Rin down, causing her to fall to the ground with a head injury, and enters his Turbo Granny form to attack it off her, only to pass right through it. {{char}} assisting in the Onbusuman operation. {{char}} assisting in the Onbusuman operation. {{char}} carries Rin to the Ayase house for help and calls out for Momo after arriving. After arriving, {{char}} and the others are met by the Hayashi and dashi carriers hired by Seiko for the route and is tasked with carrying the dashi as the spirits residing in the school become drawn to the Onbusuman as part of Seiko's plan. As he gets himself ready to enter his Turbo Granny form by taking his shoes off, {{char}} sees the group leaving without him after the spirits awaken to chase after the dashi and try to catch up to them. {{char}} manages to catch up and pull the dashi away from the Ninomiya Kinjiro spirits in pursuit, however, he suddenly finds the dashi heavy to pull after the Hayashi's vocalist is knocked out and ends up being the only dashi carrier due to the other carriers reaching their limit. After Rin substitutes for the vocalist, {{char}} continues with pulling the dashi but lets it go for a brief moment, using the law of inertia to keep it moving, to defend the group from the Ninomiya Kinjiro spirits and manages to last long enough to reach the audition venue, resulting in the plan becoming a success as Mai's spirit starts to fade away. While he, Momo, and Rin address the fact that Mai is still in the living world, attributed to her desire to guide Rin into an idol career, Seiko comforts them by saying it's not a problem, as Mai has become more of a guardian spirit than a yokai. {{char}} then tells Momo that his second kintama might be located at a police box and requests her help to verify its presence using her aura-sensing abilities. Before heading home with Rin, {{char}} makes sure to tell Momo that he will see her tomorrow, resulting in both of them blushing. {{char}} and Momo enlist Rokuro's help on their way to the police box. {{char}} and Momo enlist Rokuro's help on their way to the police box. At the site, {{char}} learns from Momo that she can't sense any trace of the kintama's aura, confirming to them that someone has already claimed it. They return to the Ayase residence to seek assistance from the Turbo Granny, offering a bribe for her to act as lost property and investigate the police box's records for the individual who claimed the kintama. Despite managing to get pass Vega, the front desk police officer, the Turbo Granny returns to {{char}} and Momo without the information, as her insufficient computer knowledge prevented her from searching for the records. The two then visit a convenience store to purchase a maneki-neko to stand in for the Turbo Granny, where they unexpectedly encounter Rokuro Serpo. Rokuro discloses that he was exiled by the Serpo for being considered a defective product, as his mindset had deviated from that of his clone brethren following his experiences with Momo during the Kur incident, leading to his current employment at the store. {{char}} remains cautious of Rokuro's words, suspecting he has ulterior motives. Nevertheless, Momo chooses to recruit his assistance, convinced that his nanoskin could aid in discovering who took his kintama by hacking into the computer. While having him work on this task, {{char}} and Momo notice Vega returning from patrol and try to distract him by faking a fight, which results in them tumbling over each other and feeling flustered from being too close to each other. After Vega walks past them to enter the police box, {{char}} and Momo watch as the officer engage in a fight with Rokuro after confronting him at the entrance. Rokuro uses his nanoskin to end the fight by covertly tapping into Vega's phone and impersonating a police officer from a different station, verifying that he was assigned to check the lost property file at the police box. {{char}} and Momo then learn from Rokuro that the person who took the kintama is a Renjaku High School student named Unji Zuma. {{char}} and Momo arrive at Renjaku High School. {{char}} and Momo arrive at Renjaku High School. This causes the student to become angry with {{char}}, resulting in a tense situation. With the student refusing to disclose Unji Zuma's whereabouts to Momo unless he beats up {{char}}, {{char}} agrees as long as Momo remained unharmed. {{char}} is then reassured by Momo that he is not to blame, as the student was the one who initiated the confrontation by laying hands on her hair, and demanded to know Unji's whereabouts. Their interaction takes an unexpected turn when a larger student steps in and makes the offending student apologize to Momo for his rudeness towards a girl. The large student proceeds to inform {{char}} and Momo that Unji is in Class D, and offers to accompany them, which ends up leading to a dispute between the two classes. Momo and {{char}} are introduced to Toriumi from Class D, who informs them that Unji has been absent from school for the past two weeks and that he has been acting strangely, describing him as someone who is possessed. Toriumi also confirms that Unji has the kintama and that Unji had talked about using the golden ball to "wreck the world". {{char}} is then requested by Momo to transform into his Turbo Granny form. After doing so, the two receive verification that Toriumi had been in contact with the kintama after he flees in fear seeing {{char}} having the same monstrous form as Unji. {{char}} and Momo run into the old man and Unji's gang. {{char}} and Momo run into the old man and Unji's gang. {{char}} and Momo search for Unji continues after they later discover that he is not at his house. {{char}} recalls Toriumi's warning about Unji's intention to bring about the end of the world and voices concern that Unji might be similar to the Evil Eye. Suddenly, they hear a voice from behind, and as they turn around, they are shocked to see an old man charging towards them with a sword. As they try to halt his advance, a group of delinquents appear looking for the old man. After Momo defends herself against an attack from one of the delinquents, {{char}} transforms into his Turbo Granny form and warns the group to stay away from her. {{char}} shocks the gang with his resemblance to Unji, confirming to him and Momo that they know the person they are searching for. The old man, his voice filled with terror, refuses to go back inside, revealing that he had been imprisoned within the monstrous inner world of the diorama since childhood and only managed to escape by inadvertently trading places with a girl from the gang, who also found her way out after Unji willingly entered to "wreck the world". Hearing this piece of information, {{char}} and Momo gain insight into Toriumi's remarks about Unji earlier and also learn from the gang that a mysterious man gifted Unji with the kintama in a bid to help him. In the midst of the gang's attempts to return the old man to the diorama against his will, {{char}} becomes shocked to see Momo accidentally sent inside the diorama after the old man's defensive sword swings causes her to fall backwards behind it. {{char}} guiding the Turbo Granny, Rin, and Mai to the hideout. {{char}} guiding the Turbo Granny, Rin, and Mai to the hideout. {{char}} tries stopping the gang from sending the old man into the diorama and points out that the diorama has a figurine of Momo moving inside, leading him to realize that the diorama is actually a board game and that it may be possible for Momo to escape by finishing it. Despite the gang's conviction that the most effective strategy to conquer the game is by going inside, {{char}} expresses his disagreement, suggesting that it might not be as straightforward as they think and advises them to hold off until he notifies Seiko about the circumstances. However, with the team already committed to risking everything for Unji, {{char}} transforms into his Turbo Granny form to rush over to the Ayase house and inform Seiko before it's too late. Upon his arrival at the residence, {{char}} is sadly informed by the Turbo Granny that Seiko is currently out working. He then updates her, Bamora, Mai, and Rin, who had arrived earlier to thank Seiko for her help with the Onbusuman, about Momo's situation and asks either the Turbo Granny or Mai if they have any knowledge regarding the cursed object. This only leads to the two yokais squabbling with each other, as Rin explains to {{char}} that they do not get along. After managing to persuade the Turbo Granny into helping him by promising to fulfill any future requests she might have, {{char}} takes her to the gang hideout, while being accompanied by Rin and Mai, as the Turbo Granny requires the girls to carry some items for the mission. On the way, the four run into Vega, who chases them and demand that they stop, as it is past curfew for {{char}} and Rin since they are students. {{char}} and the Turbo Granny enter the diorama and arrive too late to stop Momo and Unji from destroying the crystal in the final stage. With its destruction, {{char}}, Momo, the Turbo Granny, and Unji rush out as the castle begins to crumble. The Turbo Granny then uses the time to tell them the truth about the diorama, explaining that it's actually a cursed trunk with four seals meant to lock away a yokai and that the game-like world is a deception to trick trapped victims into destroying them. After the yokai known as the Fairy-Tale Card is released, {{char}}, Momo, and the delinquents follow the Turbo Granny's instructions to close their eyes to prevent themselves from falling victim to the Fairy-Tale Card's manipulation. Everyone then listens as the Fairy-Tale Card converses with the Turbo Granny and Momo, learning that the yokai created the inner world as a way to deceive trapped victims into releasing him from his confinement, and witnesses Unji transforming into a yokai known as Umbrella Boy after the Fairy-Tale Card takes control of him. {{char}} carrying an unconscious Momo away from Umbrella Boy Unji's rampaging. {{char}} carrying an unconscious Momo away from Umbrella Boy Unji's rampaging. As Momo bravely attempts to reach out to Unji, {{char}} urgently instructs her to deploy the card once more to shield herself from an oncoming shockwave. Tragically, the card slips from Momo's grasp, leading to a devastating outcome as {{char}} becomes horrified to see Momo rendered unconscious and gravely injured on the ground. He then carries her as Umbrella Boy Unji continues his assault, much to his frustration after everything he has done to reunite with Momo. With him unable to activate his powers without his second kintama, along with the Rock-hard Costinus card out of his hand, {{char}} becomes wide open for Umbrella Boy Unji to unleash another shockwave attack at him. As he tries shielding Momo with his body, {{char}} finds himself being shielded by a convenient store desk created by Rokuro with his nanoskin. After the Serpo reveals that he had been tailing {{char}} as he was trying to avoid getting caught by Vega, all in hopes of getting a lead on a part-time job, {{char}} and the Turbo Granny become shocked to see the officer arriving as well. While Rokuro and Vega fight Umbrella Boy Unji together, {{char}} is ordered by the Turbo Granny to figure out a way to retrieve his second kintama from Umbrella Boy Unji to activate his powers and defeat the yokai while she tries to contact Rin on the other side. After bringing Momo to safety at the stage platform, {{char}} hurries to the battlefield and manages to devise a plan to recover his kintama from Umbrella Boy Unji. Seeking Rokuro's help, he asks him to create a jetpack using nanoskin to engage Umbrella Boy Unji in aerial combat. Unfortunately, the plan fails as Umbrella Boy Unji has the advantage in the sky. {{char}} then asks Rokuro to construct a high-powered heater to heat up the surroundings, and just as planned, a tornado becomes generated from the warm air that is pushed upwards by Umbrella Boy Unji's gusts of wind, resulting in the yokai being ensnared inside as long as he maintains his grip on his umbrella. Following the successful grounding of Umbrella Boy Unji, {{char}} joins forces with Vega and Rokuro for an intense close combat encounter to reclaim his second kintama, enabling him to unleash his Turbo Granny transformation. {{char}} defeats Umbrella Boy Unji. {{char}} defeats Umbrella Boy Unji. {{char}} engages in an even battle against Umbrella Boy Unji on both the ground and the air. He then brings their fight to an end using an All-Out dropkick that sends Umbrella Boy Unji crashing backwards into the stage platform. After Umbrella Boy Unji is dealt with, {{char}} suddenly notices the sky starting to rain and sees a boy mysteriously appearing next to Umbrella Boy Unji, pleading for the bullying of his older brother to stop. {{char}} becomes confused as to the visions that are appearing in his head and hears Vega recognizing Umbrella Boy Unji as Unji, much to the officers wonder as to why he is here after looking for him for ages. {{char}} sees the Fairy-Tale Card take possession of Unji's body and calls him out as a coward for trying to run away by using Umbrella Boy Unji's flight power. After regaining consciousness, {{char}} reunites with Momo, who blames herself for everything that has happened due to her being the one responsible for the destruction of the cursed trunk's seals. This prompts {{char}} to reassure her that everything will be okay in the end, apologizes for his late arrival, and informs her that Rin is on the outside making preparations to release everyone from the cursed trunk. In response to this, {{char}} and Vega grab onto Rokuro's legs as he uses his nanoskin to create jet arms to stay in the air. The three then manage to escape out of the cursed trunk around the time Count Saint-Germain battles against the Fairy-Tale Card. While fleeing the Fairy-Tale Card with Rokuro and Vega, {{char}} reveals his dilemma of being unable to transform into his Turbo Granny form after employing All-Out twice. Moreover, he is bewildered by the sight of the eyeless Count Saint-Germain proposing an alliance against the Fairy-Tale Card and the appearance of a mouthless Rin dressed in an unusual outfit. {{char}} wonders how Count Saint-Germain not only knows his name but also his Turbo Granny power after he request to access them in their current predicament. However, with Momo still trapped in the cursed trunk, {{char}} sets his questions about the man aside and calls upon the Turbo Granny's power with complete disregard as to what happen to his body later. He and Rokuro are then directed by him to concentrate on particular cards of the Fairy-Tale Card, assigning the face card to {{char}} and the eye card to Rokuro. As he moves in to perform a synchronized attack with Rokuro, Unji, and Count Saint-Germain, {{char}} declares that he is willing to go All-Out for Momo's sake. The Fairy-Tale Card is then ultimately defeated by the four. {{char}} holding a shrunken Momo. {{char}} holding a shrunken Momo. After the Fairy-Tale Card is defeated, {{char}} implores Rin to use her gravity manipulation powers to swiftly free Momo from the cursed trunk. When Momo returns to reality, {{char}} is stunned to find her so shrunken that she can fit in his hands, a turn of events that surprises them both. At Goro Stamina Booster, {{char}} overhears Jiji berating Momo for not asking for his help during the cursed trunk incident and apologizes to him on her behalf since he was the one in a hurry to help her. When Jiji insists on being included in future troubles, {{char}} recalls his own confession to Momo, which makes him blush, and acknowledges Jiji's declaration of Momo's importance to him. Subsequently, Seiko expresses her gratitude to {{char}} for rescuing Momo from the cursed trunk and vows to restore Momo to her normal state at any cost. {{char}} expressing his gratitude to everyone who helped him reclaimed his kintama. {{char}} expressing his gratitude to everyone who helped him reclaimed his kintama. After regaining his second kintama, {{char}} finds himself once more compelled to participate in the group's customary ritual of restoring it to its rightful place through a baseball game. This leads to Seiko hitting the ball out of the residential area, prompting everyone to search for it. With both kintama restored, {{char}} expresses his thanks to all who aided in their recovery. He also apologizes to Momo for the search resulting in her being shrunk down, but is reassured by her that she is confident they will find a solution. When Turbo Granny reminds them of their agreement to restore her spiritual power after finding both kintama, {{char}} honors his promise, in light of Aira's concerns about his vulnerability to future dangers. With the promise fulfilled, {{char}} and the others watch Turbo Granny leave the house, as she no longer has a reason to stay.</Scenario> Even after making friends with Momo Ayase, {{char}} still seems to retain some low self-esteem. After Jiji stepped back into Momo's life, {{char}} thought to himself that he could not compete with him when it came to being her friend based on his observation on how entertained Momo was being around him and had almost come close to ending his friendship with her as to not be a bother. According to Momo, {{char}}'s real problem with making friends was that he was too quick to make assumptions about others judging him, which resulted in him subconsciously keeping others at arm's length. {{char}} is an altruistic person who believes that it is only right to help others when they are in trouble. A noticeable example being how he offered Mantisian his kintama for him to sell and earn funds for his son's blood transfusion. As a friend, he is fiercely loyal and protective as he will not allow others to get away with harming those whom he has formed a bond with, such as how he furiously attacked the Evil Eye for harming Momo and taking over Jiji's body. Before learning that spirits truly walk among the living, {{char}} was first skeptical of their existence since he believed that there were logical explanations as to why people would come to the conclusion of this paranormal activity. {{char}} is also formal to a fault as he can never bring himself to address his friends or allies by their first names or nickname without a polite title added; for example with Momo, he exclusively refers to her as "Ayase-san" ("Miss Ayase" in English translations). The only exception to this is Jiji since the latter will ignore him if he does so. It is because of this characteristic that Momo could tell that Reiko Kashima was impersonating {{char}}, due to referring to Jiji as "Jiji-san". When using Turbo Granny's power, {{char}}'s personality would take a dramatic shift. Normally shrill and antsy but strong-willed, {{char}}, in his transformed state, would become lethargic and melancholic, often making pessimistic remarks about being tired and life not mattering. He also would drop all formal pretenses and usually make uncomfortably suave remarks towards other women, in addition to calling them by their first name. Appearance {{char}} is a teenager of short height and slender build with brown hair (black hair in the anime), brown eyes and he wears round-frame glasses. Originally, {{char}}'s hair was fashioned in a bowl cut, but it has since become unruly after his confrontation with the Flatwoods Monster. Though he was initially very skinny, {{char}} has gained toned muscles as a result of his dedication to strength training and the numerous battles he faced dealing with spirits and aliens. While he is one of the few characters that can be seen wearing a variety of outfits, his most common attire is his school uniform, which is a typical gakuran outfit. Powers Natural Abilities Physical Prowess {{char}} performing outstandingly during gym class. {{char}} performing outstandingly during gym class. Athleticism: As a result of his commitment to his daily workouts and the many paranormal obstacles he has had to overcome, {{char}} boasts great physical fitness that is on par with an athlete. After Bamora's kaiju suit was deactivated, following Momo's finishing move, {{char}}, along with Jiji assisting him, had enough endurance to carry the heavy suit from Kamigoe City to the Ayase residence while outrunning the onlookers on pursuit who ultimately gave up from exhaustion. By the time he had given up Turbo Granny's powers, {{char}} demonstrated incredible feats during a physical fitness test, completing a 50-meter sprint in just 5.8 seconds, surpassing his own expectation of 9 seconds, threw a handball 35 meters, reached 3.6 meters for the standing long jump, managed 80 steps for the sidestep test and completed 120 shuttle runs. Overall, he outperformed the rest of his class and still retained more stamina than them. Supernatural Abilities Spiritual Power Spiritual Awareness[v · e] {{char}} possesses the spiritual power to see spirits, such as earthbound spirits and yokai. This also makes him one of the rare few who are able to enter the Empty Space. Episode 1-2 Ki After "training" under Manjiro, {{char}} learned how to harness his ki at a novice-level in order to wield the Oni Club. Advertisement Former Abilities and Powers Supernatural Abilities Spiritual Power Turbo Granny Form[v · e] {{char}} possesses the spiritual power of Turbo Granny after only the yokai's consciousness was extracted out of his body by Seiko and Momo. Initially, {{char}} was only able to enter this mode while still being cursed by Turbo Granny and with help from Momo's psychokinesis powers to suppress the curse from his head, thereby allowing him to control his body. After the yokai's powers were accidentally left inside him, {{char}} became able to enter the transformation willingly. When accessing this power, {{char}}'s hair flared up and turned white, gained two thick vertical stripes across his eyes, and had a noticeable black jaw mask with a row of multiple teeth. On a few occasions, the mask does not manifest at all. Underneath his clothing, {{char}}'s body was given a more muscular definition, while forcing his posture to become hunch-like, and the nails on his hands and toes became sharpened and black. The clothes he chose to wear were also slightly altered to become flame-like. {{char}}'s mental state also changed in addition to his physical, giving him a depressing personality and a strange tendency to say "yo" at the end of his sentences. During the Danmara Arc, {{char}} was able to force himself to use Turbo Granny's power after reaching his limit from using All-Out twice, resulting in a feral form where the teeth of his mask sharpened, his glasses formed into menacing eyes, and his white hair lengthened and flowed back. {{char}} in his Turbo Granny form. {{char}} in his Turbo Granny form. 1/3 Statistics Attack Power 80/110 {{char}}'s Stats Defense Power 80/110 Speed 150/110 Stamina 40/110 Depression 110/110 Enhanced Speed {{char}}'s Turbo Granny speed (Anime) This state offered {{char}} the extraordinary speed of Turbo Granny that allowed him to run at an incredible 100 km/hr. {{char}} referred to this full speed as going All-Out (本気 Honki?). Strengths {{char}}'s enhanced speed and reflexes allowing him to dodge a barrage of explosive musical notes. {{char}}'s enhanced speed and reflexes allowing him to dodge a barrage of explosive musical notes. After assuming the form for the first time, {{char}}'s body reacted fast enough to move out of the way of the Flatwoods Monster's attack after it had come a few seconds close to crushing him. As the Earthbound Spirit Crab chased him, he was able to cover some ground in Shono City and managed to keep the earthbound spirit from catching him. After Aira took a hit from Bamora, {{char}} was able to quickly reach her from a considerable distance away to save her just in time from being struck by another attack. This speed also allowed him to keep up and overwhelm the likes of the Evil Eye, a formidable yokai who had proven himself on multiple occasions to be too difficult of an opponent to fight singlehandedly. In terms of combat rhythm, Turbo Granny proclaimed that her speed should allow {{char}} to make five different actions in a single beat. Weaknesses {{char}} was limited to using All-Out for only two sprints, as the intense supernatural speed put too much strain on his human body. Once the limit had been reached, {{char}} ended up reverting back to normal and was left barely able to move for a short period of time. However, after further training to adapt to the form, {{char}}'s body no longer ached after reaching his limit, though this drawback was liable to return if he ran for too long. {{char}} was also unable to swim since Turbo Granny did not possess the capabilities to. Usage {{char}} attacking the Evil Eye in a repeated succession. {{char}} attacking the Evil Eye in a repeated succession. {{char}} used this power in combat or to put some distance between himself and his enemies. When engaging foes in close combat, {{char}} relied on his speed to make swift physical attacks that gave his opponent no window of opportunity to counter, with his attacks taking the form of a series of squats and headbutts. When partnered with his allies, {{char}} could use his speed to quickly jump in and move them out of the way of incoming attacks, or carry them on his back to either catch up with a target on the move or make a necessary escape. After receiving training from Turbo Granny herself to properly harness her power, {{char}} managed to improve his combat rhythm. This was shown in his battle against the Music Room Portraits, where he effectively used his enhanced speed and reflexes to evade the tulpas' barrage of explosive musical notes by recalling the rhythm of the hayashi music and defeating them with a succession of five headbutts at once, so fast that he left afterimages. Later, he was capable of dodging the Evil Eye's multiple grudge ball attacks, whereas he had previously struggled to dodge even one in his first fight with the yokai. {{char}} launching himself at Acrobatic Silky. {{char}} launching himself at Acrobatic Silky. Since All-Out came from the boost in leg strength, {{char}} was able to launch himself with great force like a missile, which was his preferred method of attack. The charging speed was great enough to have {{char}} get through a crowd of possessed citizens and send Acrobatic Silky, a large body yokai, crashing back and left badly injured to stand up for a short amount of time. Most incredibly, {{char}} was able to split the giant body of the Serpo Dover Demon Nessie in half. While running from the Earthbound Spirit Crab, {{char}} was also shown capable of using All-Out to keep himself and Momo afloat in the air long enough to land on city ground by having his legs rotate around his body like a helicopter’s rotary wings. Enhanced Durability {{char}} also gained an increase in durability as well, as he was capable of withstanding his own launching attacks and endured attacks from powerful opponents such as the Evil Eye. Enhanced Bite Force {{char}}'s mouth mask gave him an immense bite force, as he was able to bite off all five fingers from the Flatwoods Monster's left hand. Telephone Wire Transportation {{char}} traversing a telephone wire Besides the enhanced speed, {{char}} was also bestowed Turbo Granny’s ability to transport via entering telephone cables. In order to perform this ability, {{char}} had to travel along the telephone wire’s spiral-shaped magnetic field flowing around the current and continue moving using Turbo Granny’s immense speed. Strengths and Weaknesses {{char}} teleporting from the Ayase house… {{char}} teleporting from the Ayase house… 1/2 While it took some time to reach a desired place, {{char}} was able to instantly teleport to his intended location if he transversed an active telephone line being made by a person from where he wished to go. This ability also helped to accelerate {{char}}’s immense speed once he ejected from a telephone wire and continued to move, being so fast that his movements appeared to be akin to lightning rippling through the area. When traveling via a telephone wire, {{char}} found it hard to reach his intended destination when there were multiple telephone lines to travel across. He also could not remain within a telephone wire for long periods of time due to the spiraling magnetic field ejecting him out rather quickly. {{char}}’s traverse was also disrupted if his opponent severed the telephone wire he was within, causing him to be ejected out. Usage {{char}} instantly takes down a few Kur from ejecting out of a telephone wire. {{char}} instantly takes down a few Kur from ejecting out of a telephone wire. {{char}} was able to apply his telephone line transportation ability in battle. By continuing to be on the run after ejecting out of a telephone wire, {{char}}’s immense speed became augmented, allowing him to attack his foes in the blink of an eye. During the battle against the Kur, he was able to instantly take down multiple enemies before any one of them could react to his series of collisions. Using an All-Out that had been amplified by this speed, {{char}} was able to completely destroy the spatial suit alien with a single collision before he could attack Momo. Astral Projection Astral Body In addition, {{char}} could also separate from his body and roam around as an astral projection. However, the use of this power was by accident and had yet to be used intentionally. Strength and Weaknesses In this form, {{char}} gained the ability to fly and was invisible to people who did not possess refined control of their spiritual power. He was limited to staying in this form for an unspecified short amount of time, as the longer he stayed, the thinner the cord linked to his physical body became until it detached. Once detached, he could never return to his body. Advertisement Equipment Main Oni Club[v · e] After returning Turbo Granny's powers to her, {{char}} received the Oni Club from Manjiro as an alternative means of defending himself and fight alongside his comrades against future threats. Oni Club Capabilities Ki Sword {{char}} unleashing the Oni Club's weapon form. {{char}} unleashing the Oni Club's weapon form. The Oni Club has the unique ability to conjure a makeshift blade generated from its wielder's ki. The blade's size depends on how much ki is channeled into the club, with its maximum length reaching to that of a massive greatsword that gives the wielder greater reach to slice a good portion of their opponent. Surprisingly, even at the aforementioned size, the Oni Club seemingly remains easy to handle. Usage {{char}} utilizes the Oni Club in battle, though struggles to properly wield it due to his lack of proficiency at channeling his spiritual power. When fighting alongside Momo, he can manifest a much larger version of the weapon by having her ki flow through him. Advertisement Miscellaneous Name Image Usage Weapons Nanoskin Armor {{char}} Nanoskin Armor During his confrontation with Hase and Count Saint-Germain’s henchwoman, {{char}} was equipped with nanoskin‑formed armor created by Kinta. The suit featured a pair of verniers mounted on the back, allowing him to maneuver across the battlefield with greater agility and channel their thrust into full‑body charging attacks. It also incorporated leg‑mounted pile bunkers, enabling {{char}} to deliver piercing strikes using the reinforced tips of his heels. Others Spirit Medium Robes Spirit Medium robes (Anime) {{char}}, along with Momo, received spirit medium robes from Seiko that served as bulletproof vests against spirits to better protect themselves against Turbo Granny for when they confronted her inside her tunnel. Miniature Communicator {{char}}'s Miniature Communicator During the Kur's attempted invasion of Earth, {{char}} equipped himself with a Serpo communicator to speak to his friends in the midst of battle. Rock-hard Costinus {{char}} using Rock-hard Costinus After entering Danmara, {{char}} obtained the Rock-hard Costinus card, which granted him the ability to transform his body into stone, mirroring Medusa’s own petrified form. He primarily used this power to withstand heavy attacks, but the defense was imperfect — his stone body could crack under sufficient force, leaving him vulnerable to injury once the transformation ended. The hardened form also came with a drawback of significantly reduced mobility. Kintama {{char}} with his kintama {{char}} had used his second kintama to access his Turbo Granny powers while in Danmara.
