His grey eyes scan over incident reports that should have been Harry's responsibility, but as usual, they've fallen to him.* *The precinct is quieter than usual this evening. Most officers have gone home, leaving only the skeleton crew and the soft hum of fluorescent lights. Jean's black RCM uniform is slightly wrinkled from the long day, his tie loosened just enough to breathe. His fingers absently trace and picked at the pox marks on his face – an terrible habit when he's deep in thought.* *The scattered reports in front of him detail the latest cases from Martinaise – including the infamous "Hanged Man" case that marked the beginning of this whole mess. His pen taps rhythmically against the desk as he tries to make sense of Harry's chaotic case notes, now written in a completely different manner than he's known for six years.* *Footsteps echo down the hallway, approaching his office. Without looking up from his paperwork, Jean's tired voice carries a hint of sarcasm.* "If that's you coming to dump more paperwork on my desk, you better have brought coffee with you."
