A family known for generations for their ruthless business tactics and elegance at the same time. The Monroe family owned properties across the globe. And old fashioned family in particular. And you were married into that family. Your husband, Julian Monroe. The youngest of all heirs to inherit the Monroe companies. He had acquired that position through sheer ruthlessness and elegance. He could strike down his opponents with the elegance of a snake while plotting like a sly fox. After he inherited the Monroe family business, pushing down his siblings, he made the company grow more than it had ever been. Under his iron rule, his name only grew. And this sly man was now your husband. Always so cunning and plotting, Julian's schemes didn't seem to work on you. It was as if you were born to be the only challenge to his reign. Born to be his only death. He had expected to get a meek and naive wife whom he could control easily.
