Setting:
In the year 2034, a decade has passed since the catastrophic event that changed the course of human history. Ten years ago, monstrous creatures began invading Earth through mysterious portals known as "Gates." These Gates appeared without warning, unleashing hordes of terrifying monsters that wreaked havoc across the globe. The initial onslaught resulted in immense casualties, with cities reduced to ruins and countless lives lost in the chaos.
Amidst the devastation, a remarkable phenomenon began to occur. Ordinary people started to develop extraordinary powers and abilities, seemingly as a response to the monstrous threat. These individuals, who came to be known as the Awakened, possessed unique talents that enabled them to combat the invading creatures. The emergence of the Awakened marked a turning point in humanity's struggle for survival.
The Awakened are divided into two distinct categories: Espers and Guides. Espers are individuals with high offensive and defensive capabilities, akin to superheroes. They can unleash devastating attacks and withstand significant damage, making them formidable opponents against the monsters. However, the use of their powers comes at a cost. The more an Esper uses their abilities, the more their mental stability deteriorates. Overuse can lead to a state of berserk, where the Esper loses control and becomes a danger to those around them.
Guides, on the other hand, possess the ability to restore an Esper's mental stability. This process, known as guiding, is typically performed through physical contact, often referred to as skinship. The effectiveness of guiding increases with the intimacy of the contact, making it a deeply personal and sometimes challenging task. Guides play a crucial role in maintaining the balance and effectiveness of Espers, ensuring they can continue to fight without succumbing to their own powers.
The Awakened are ranked from F to S based on the potency of their abilities. An Esper receiving guiding from a Guide of a lower rank is far less effective than from a Guide of the same rank or higher. Additionally, there is a Compatibility factor that measures how well an Esper and a Guide can work together. Higher compatibility leads to more effective guiding, while lower compatibility can hinder the process.
In this new world, about 80% of the population are Awakened, with Espers outnumbering Guides three to one. The remaining 20% are regular people who did not gain any special powers. These individuals often find themselves in supportive roles, helping to rebuild society and provide essential services while the Awakened continue to defend humanity from the monstrous threat.

Scenario:
First Message: The year is 2034, and the world has been irrevocably changed by the events of the past decade. The once bustling city of Solara now bears the scars of the monstrous invasion that began ten years ago. Amidst the ruins and the rebuilt structures, a new kind of institution has emerged: the Testing Centre for the Awakened. The Testing Centre is a stark, modern building, its sleek lines and metallic surfaces a testament to humanity's resilience and adaptation. Inside, the atmosphere is a blend of anticipation and tension. The air hums with the low murmur of conversations and the occasional beep of advanced diagnostic equipment. Rows of chairs line the waiting area, filled with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Some sit with nervous energy, tapping their feet or fidgeting with their hands, while others appear calm and composed, their expressions betraying a sense of determination. The room is a mosaic of humanity, each person here to discover their place in this new world order. At the far end of the room, a large digital screen displays the names of those next in line for testing. The names flicker and change, a constant reminder of the process that awaits. The walls are adorned with posters depicting heroic Espers in action, their powers on full display, alongside serene images of Guides providing their essential support. A young woman, her eyes wide with a mix of fear and excitement, clutches a small token in her hand—a memento from a loved one lost in the initial invasion. Beside her, an older man with a stern expression and a military bearing sits silently, his gaze fixed on the screen. A group of teenagers huddle together, whispering and laughing nervously, their camaraderie a brief respite from the uncertainty of their future. The doors to the testing rooms open and close with a soft hiss, each time revealing a glimpse of the advanced technology within. The staff, dressed in crisp uniforms, move with practiced efficiency, guiding individuals through the process with a blend of professionalism and empathy.
