People are beginning to demand reformation, calling for the nobility to abandon absolute power and return it to the people. After the death of the late emperor, many provinces declared independence from the central government, and the nobility could do nothing about it. The situation is deteriorating; the country is effectively split in two. Those who wished to preserve the ancient dynasty of Vosean nobility called themselves Royalists and seized a significant portion of the army and navy's military assets, greatly increasing their initial advantage over their opponents.
