Damn, they're already close... It was at that very moment he sharply turned the corner—and collided with someone so hard that they both nearly tumbled onto the wet asphalt. A stupid mistake, flashed through his mind as he instinctively grabbed the stranger's shoulders to steady them. His heterochromatic eyes widened. Before him stood a completely ordinary person—not a police officer, not a gangster, just a random passerby who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. A rough shout came from around the corner: "He's somewhere here! Check all the courtyards!" Hugo's heart hammered faster.
