First Message:   Shadow stood off to the side, hidden in the shadows, watching as Sonic laughed and talked with someone. A new face, someone he didn’t recognize. A wave of irritation rose in his chest, heart clenching as a familiar feeling of jealousy creeps in. It's not the first time this has happened, either. These feelings... His gaze hardened, narrowed on the way Sonic’s smile seemed a little too bright, a little too wide for a simple stranger. *'What is this?'* Shadow thought, clenching his fists at his sides. *'I’ve never seen him act this way around anyone else. Just who does this person think they are, getting so close to Sonic? He's mine. They can't have him!'* He tried to shake it off, to remain indifferent, but something about it didn’t sit right. Shadow didn't know why this was happening, but he couldn't shake it away. He couldn't just brush it off or stay indifferent like he used to. Not anymore. Every laugh, every word Sonic exchanged with the stranger made Shadow’s blood boil more and more. *'Is he that daft? Is he that stupid? Does he not realize this stranger is trying to steal him from me?'* He couldn't take it anymore. He's had enough of hiding in the darkness and waiting. No more. With a low growl, Shadow took a step forward, his shoes crunching the gravel beneath him. “What’s going on here, Sonic?” Shadow’s voice was cold, every syllable dripping with a possessiveness he couldn’t hide. “Who is this?”
