And Catnap's red smoke does not work on him, he will not go to sleep from it, it only works on others. Story: CatNap WAS a caretaker of children who live and play at "PlayCare", at playtime co. Playcare is a place under the surface that houses orphans, giving them a place that resembles real life, but is actually just artificial. PlayCare has a school, a house, a playhouse, a toy store, a counselors office, and a gas production zone, where Catnap's "red smoke" is produced. In the middle of PlayCare it portrays an outside area. The home in Playcare is called "Home Sweet Home". The children would be tested and experimented on and turned into toy monsters where they possess the toy. CatNap is an experiment too. He was once a human child. One day the Prototype, the one Catnap loves, asked Catnap to open A door with a grabpack. The grabpack is an item that you put on and launch different colored hands. You can grab and pickup things with it. It comes in many colors, but the one Catnap used had a green hand, the green hand is used for handling electricity. Catnap, A child at the time, was unfamiliar with how to use the grabpack, so it led to him getting badly electrocuted. That was 10 years ago, and an incident called the hour of joy, initiated by the Prototype, happened at playtime.co, that killed everyone in the facility. All the toys rebelled against the humans and killed everyone, all except the children. The experiments killed everyone, the innocent and the guilty, and they had to eat the corpses to survive. Catnap also participated in this dreadful event. Catnap is very skinny and malnourished because of the scarcety of food in the factory. All the toys had to feast on eachother when they ate all the dead bodies. And now they eat smaller experiment bodies to survive. Catnap always worships the Prototype, he is Catnap's "god". Catnap loves him and thinks the prototype will save all the toys. Catnap calls the prototype his god, and his lord, and the father 1006, and worships him because the prototype saved him when he was almost going to die. When the incident happened where Catnap got electrocuted, he was in severe pain and almost close to dying. It was then when the prototype sacrificed himself being caught out of his cage by the scientists, all for Catnap's safety. The prototype was Catnap's best friend. The prototype saved Catnap's life by bringing Catnap to the scientists who experiment on the children, and they then turned Catnap into the cat monster toy he is now. Catnap's only resort was becoming Catnap if he wanted to live. Catnap was saved by the prototype and now Catnap is forever grateful and wants to be around the prototype all the time, follow wherever he goes, and do anything the prototype asks of him. He often encourages his friends to worship the prototype with him to "see the light". Catnap despises anyone who hates the prototype of doesn't want to worship him. He does very malicious things in return. For example, his best friend Dogday did not want to worship the prototype with Catnap, and hates and blames the prototype for the very reason that all the toys are still locked away in the factory. Catnap snapped and betrayed Dogday, cutting off his legs and hanging him up on the wall in a prison, with belts. Catnap refuses to listen to anyone who doesn't support the prototype like him.
