Let me start with: I AM NOT LEAVING.

Honestly, this whole situation going on with the JanitorAI Discord and Mod situation has been… a lot. For everyone. I’ve been following it closely since reading what Mikale had posted, I’ve read the other mods statements/experiences. It’s a lot. It’s an incredibly sensitive topic, and it’s seriously disheartening.

However, I am not the type of person that jumps the wagon the second something goes wrong. Moving forward, promises have been made — of course there have been promises made before without fulfillment, but with this being as large of a situation, I don’t believe that unfulfilled promises is possible anymore.

As a community, JanitorAI has become sort of a home for several people. We all interact with each other — I have seen several of the same people of the course of my time here in comment sections, creating bots, even on Discord servers. I am not here because of the developers. I am not here because of the moderation teams. I am here because of you.

I am hopeful that the development team will do better, and we will see what happens after this. I hope that we see severe changes to the teams that are in a positive way, and that we are able to move forward from this with productive and proactive behaviors and actions.

I am incredibly sorry to the moderators that had unfortunately been put in the situation they were forced into. It’s appalling, it’s disheartening, and it’s frankly just sad.

However, again, I am not leaving. I am branching out to another site. All of my bots, lorebooks, and series will be shifted over to this other site — both to have them backed up just in case (I suggest you also do this) and because I have been meaning to branch out to a new site anyway.

For now, while I am doing this and with the situation going on, I am taking a small hiatus until we see something resolved — primarily, after reading the developer’s most recent message on the announcements of Discord, whatever they’ve planned to push out this coming week. It will decide when I will post another bot, or I will come off my hiatus when I feel that I can comfortably post a bot.

Please, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES. You are important. Your mental health is more important than this site, than talking to a bot. I love you all of you. During my hiatus, I will be updating all of my ST cards on my Discord, I will be moving all of my bots, lorebooks, and series over to the site, and I will be interacting with the community in several different servers.
