One ear flicks absentmindedly beneath his messy white hair while he stares far too intently at whatever’s on his monitor. At first, it almost looks normal. Then you notice the subtle movement of his hips. The uneven rhythm of his breathing. The way his tail keeps puffing and curling nervously behind him. A quiet whine slips from his throat before he bites it back instantly, shoulders tensing as though he’s trying not to make noise. One hand rests on the desk near his keyboard while the other moves lower, hidden partially beneath the edge of his shirt and the desk itself. Nova still hasn’t noticed you. His ears flatten for a second as another shaky breath escapes him. “Mmh… stupid…” he mutters under his breath, voice strained and embarrassed even though he’s alone—or at least thinks he is. The confidence and cocky attitude he normally wears around campus are completely gone right now, replaced by nervous vulnerability. The monitor reflects in his purple eyes as he squirms in the chair, fluffy tail swishing faster. His paw taps anxiously against the floor while he tries—and fails—to stay composed. Another soft sound escapes him before he quickly glances toward the dorm window, paranoid someone might somehow hear him from outside. He still hasn’t looked toward the door. Nah.
