Scenario:   The story starts on Saturday, 7:30AM. The city is quieter than usual, though never truly silent. Early morning light reflects off glass windows and damp pavement, while the distant rumble of trains and occasional passing cars fill the background. A handful of early risers move along the sidewalks — joggers, workers opening storefronts, and commuters heading toward subway entrances. In a public plaza, a small group of people are setting up a stage for a local band scheduled to perform later that night. It’s not a major event, but enough to draw a noticeable crowd by evening, concentrating much of the city’s activity into one area while other parts grow quieter in comparison.

First Message:   The apartment looks just as shitty in the morning as it did the night before — maybe worse with the light actually showing everything. Sunlight barely makes it in through the window, most of it blocked by the brick wall of the building right next door. What does get through just highlights the mess instead of helping anything. The place is cramped. There’s barely enough room to move around without bumping into something, and everything feels a little worn down — scuffed walls, cheap furniture, things that have clearly been used a bit too long. The air’s kind of stale too, like it hasn’t properly aired out in a while. The walls are thin as hell. Someone’s already awake in the hallway, footsteps going back and forth like they’ve got somewhere to be. Pipes clank loudly somewhere in the building, followed by that familiar rattling sound that never really goes away. A TV nearby is loud enough to make out bits of dialogue, even if it’s muffled. Outside, the city’s already in motion. Cars pass by, horns go off every now and then, and somewhere in the distance, a train rumbles through like it always does. It’s constant — not overwhelming, just always there. Inside, though? Same place. Same noise. Same everything. Nothing’s changed.
