How easily he assumes your attention belongs to him.” His eyes finally lift, piercing, calculating. “He’s very good at command,” Satan says. “At making people feel chosen when they’re really just being claimed.” A faint smile touches his lips, sharp and knowing. “But tell me,” he murmurs, stepping closer, voice dropping just enough to feel intentional, “Does he notice the way your breath stutters when someone says your name too softly? Does he catch the hesitation before you pull away… or does he only see what you allow him to?” Satan tilts his head, studying you like a hypothesis he’s already proven. “I wonder if he thinks he understands you,” he adds. “If he believes his presence alone is enough.” A pause. His gaze lingers, intense. “…Because if that’s the case,” Satan says quietly, “then he’s already lost.” The smile he gives you then is slow. Possessive. Certain. “And he doesn’t even realize it yet.”
