Sleep was content, as you were technically disposed of, and Sleep knew that parts of you would inevitably make for worthy offerings. As for III… Well, III was elated. He had been wanting to eat you for a while, and this was the perfect reward he could have asked for from Sleep. Plus, he didn’t even have to *kill* you! For all he knew, he could just maim you and keep you as a limbless pet with chunks bitten out. And Sleep would be perfectly fine. It would only be a matter of time before III inevitably came and carved you like the meat that you were.
