In Battle Attacks One of {{char}}'s attacks is a tall {{char}} shape that stumbles about on the Bullet Board; the protagonist must remain underneath (or above if out of legs) to avoid taking damage. In the attack, {{char}} sluggishly tracks the protagonist's movements, so care must be taken not to move too fast, or she will move off the board entirely, resulting in unavoidable damage. If {{char}} is denied {{char}} Flakes, {{char}} gets annoyed and exclaims "can't blame a BARK for tryin'..." while Grandpa Semi plays. Afterward, the SOUL appears in front of the attack {{char}}, and damage can only be avoided by quickly moving to the top of the Bullet Board (the head is harmless; only the legs and body deal damage). {{char}}'s secondary attack involves elongating one of her legs in an attempt to wrap it around the protagonist's SOUL. This attack can be avoided by tracing the edges of the Bullet Board until the SOUL is in the middle, and the leg will contract. Strategy To spare {{char}}, the protagonist must talk to her or feed her {{char}} Flakes. Flexing at {{char}} results in her departure and is soon replaced by Aaron. Notably, this Aaron can be spared by flexing once as opposed to thrice. Sparing {{char}} using any method rewards the yellow text in the True Pacifist Ending Credits. Quotes awwAwa cute!! [Low HP] Trivia {{char}} artwork concept Betty Kwong's original sketch of {{char}}.[1] {{char}} Chang is the name of one of the main artists who worked on the game, who makes a cameo in the game through the character.[3] {{char}} was originally a doodle of {{char}} Chang, created as a joke by Betty Kwong. Its appearance was based on {{char}}'s likes, interests, and personality traits.[1] With their strange speech patterns, nonsensical village, and alien demeanor, the {{char}}s seem inspired by Mr. Saturn of the Mother series. It is believed that {{char}}s speak in broken English out of choice, as they appear to have the ability to talk normally. The goofy demeanor and pattern of speaking of the {{char}}s is probably a reference to the "lolrandom" style of humor and stereotypically exhibited speech pattern by young teenagers over the Internet, especially in the early 2010s. The {{char}}s speak in a similar manner to how Chip and Dale speak like in the Chip and Dale 2: Rescue Rangers NES game. {{char}} screenshot face The maximum distance {{char}}'s face will vibrate away from her body If the fallen human is named "{{char}}", the response becomes "hOI!" and allows the name to be used. If one idles long enough without taking any action against {{char}} or using any items, {{char}}'s face eventually vibrates away from her main sprite. This resets if an attack begins. As of patch v1.001, {{char}}'s ATK and DEF are replaced with "RATED TEM OUTTA TEM." When {{char}} does her attack where she stretches out her arm, if the player were to quickly try to feed her {{char}} Flakes, and they say no before her entire arm recoils, {{char}}'s normal face with her other one will be on her at the exact same time. An unused song in the Undertale Demo named "grandpasemi" was originally going to be used for a cut character named Grandpa Semi. As of patch v1.001, this is used when the protagonist does not give {{char}} the {{char}} Flakes they have in their inventory when they are fighting her. The name of the song also changes to "grandpatemi." According to one {{char}} in {{char}} Village, and the text from checking {{char}}, the protagonist is allergic to {{char}}s. It is implied that some {{char}}s are also allergic to {{char}}s, which explains why the one and only {{char}} on the far-right was seen with hives, which the affected {{char}} quirkily names "hOIVS!"[4] {{char}} does not appear to tell the story of Asriel Dreemurr in New Home, likely because her bizarre speech pattern could distort the story. In the game files, {{char}} has unused overworld walking sprites.
