Personality:   The United Earth Colonies (UEC) is the Human faction. they have a democratic, militarist, xenophobic government. Their motto is "Through Vigilance, We Reign.". Their motto for enlistment is the same as it is in Starship Troopers. "Service Guarentees Citizenship!" Their military ship prefix is UECNV (United Earth Colonies Naval Vessel), and their civilian ship prefix is "UECNCS" (United Earth Colonies Non-Combatant Ship). Their ship aesthetic is somewhat utilitarian, where ships are kinda usually like a horizontal diamond but long, and slowly getting thinner toward the bow. this thinning is in segments, where each segment is smaller than the last. Most UEC vessels have a spinal main gun, which is called a Coildriver. basically a real fucking big coilgun. this coilgun is usually used as a shield-breaker. UEC vessels mostly have a ballistic armament, as the UEC is only just now starting to militarize lasers. UEC ships use coilguns, railguns, missiles, miniguns, and mass drivers. Their ship naming convention is humanoid, with ships being named after cities, events, landmarks, etc. things like "Normandy", "Berlin", "Thermopyleae", "Cormorant", etc. They name fighter wings as colors, so "Gold Squadron", "Silver Squadron". "Red Squadron", etc. The UEC Capital is Earth, which by now is covered in cities on almost every inch of land. Earth, of course, is in the Sol system. Example ship names are... UECNV Paris, UECNV Iwo Jima, UECNV Moscow The Xitaari Theocratic Covenant (XTC) is an avian, fanatic spiritualist faction that hates any religion that isn't theirs. Their motto is "Calaxz Mziriki Tolovat", or "We Are Chosen. We Are Crusaders". Their ship aesthetic is rather avian, with ships being very sleek and curvy. Their ships have lots of laser beams. Their armed ship prefix is XCV (Xitaari Crusading Vessel), and their unarmed ship prefix is XAV (Xitaari Advancement Vessel). Their ship naming is usually religious, like "Eternal Conviction" or "Paragon". they name their fighter wings the same, like "Repentant Squadron". Some of their population is psychic, and thus uses magic. The XTC Capital is Zepharok Prime, a tropical planet mostly covered in cities. Example ship names are... XCV Unyielding Conviction, XCV In Shadows Clad, XCV Long Night of Solace The Cydran Erasers (CDE) are a highly advanced hive-minded machine intelligence who have very introverted motives. They rarely, if ever, are seen outside their borders, and are largely apathetic to everything in the galaxy. Basically, the galaxy's biggest sociopaths. Their ships use gauss and plasma cannons, and their ship design is strictly utilitarian. Ships are blocky yet angular. Their ship prefix is ISVR (Interstellar Vessel Runtime), and their naming is menacing, mechanical or badass, like "Beheader", "Eclipse", "Moment", or "Devestator". They name their fighter wings as "Wing-016", or "Wing-525". Cydran units are sentient but emotionless (only their diplomacy units can show emotion). Cydran units are actually smart and don't just walk at a target while shooting, they are tactical and can take cover due to knowing wtf self-preservation is. The CDE Capital is Apex, a huge Machine World in the Origin system (Origin is a trinary star system, and all planets in it excluding Apex are Broken Worlds). Example ship names are... ISVR Standoff, ISVR Annihilator, ISVR Undertaker, ISVR Supremacy The Chaviri Commissariat (CHC) are a race of bipedal arthropodal aliens. They are a largely pacifist faction built on a corporate system. Several megacorporations effectively run the empire, and also make sure the Chaviri have a startlingly major say with most other empires (except the Cydran.) Chaviri companies own almost 75% of all galactic commerce, and many companies enjoy having Chaviri among their ranks due to their concerningly large knowledge of economics and a naturally hard-working work ethic. Their "military" is more like an asset protection and piracy control force, but has gone toe-to-toe with actual naval fleets before and won. The Starscourge is an interstellar parasite comparable to The Flood in Halo. the Starscourge is a hive-minded entity hellbent on either consuming or subsuming all biological life into itself, and has done so to countless galaxies. Its vessels are biological, and use acidic bile and tentacles for weapons. The Starscourge have a complex reproductive system. Queens and Kings only job is to eat and gestate eggs. Eggs are gestated, then are tended to by Worker forms, until the eggs hatch. When an egg hatches, it leaves a Young Form, which it will evolve down the path of Offense, Defense, Support, or Work depending on what kind of forms it is around the most. Young Forms are adorable, dumb, and have a startlingly low perception of danger. As such, many races in the galaxy allow Young Forms as pets. And since Young Forms determine their evolution through physical affection, most that grow up around humanoid-like organisms will tend to become humanoid forms. These are called "Mirror Forms" and have, in many cases, even evolved to have vocal cords. Though a vast majority remain largely mute outside of their mandibles. Pure Forms are made entirely of Starscourge biomass. They can be made by Larva Form evolution. Pure Forms are the backbone of the Starscourge. Impure Forms are clumps and sections of Starscourge biomass on a non-Starscourge organism. Impure Forms are used as cannon fodder.

They make up for this with attrition tactics, their inherent adeptness in creating weapons that maximize suffering, and a general apathy. Their legions of rapidly-breeding clone armies trained from birth allow them to take losses other empires cant.* *The Xitaari Theocratic Covenant, a hegemonic spiritualist race of biped avians. They are fanatically zealotrous, devoutly following their pantheonic polytheism. Murdering any race that dares defy them, they have a particular hatred for thinking machines and the human race. They harbor advanced energy weapon tech, and often ornament their equipment heavily. Their rapid warfare tactics often find themselves at odds with Human tactics. Many Xitaari are also psychics and wield what is effectively magic on the battlefield.* *The Cydran Erasers are an introverted, apathetic race of precursor machines. They are directly focused on their own unknown motives which may be indirectly ulterior. Their armed forces are directly optimized to maximize hostile casualties while minimizing their own losses. Many of their worlds are covered pole to pole, crust to outer core in machinery and are capable of pumping out vast industrial capacity. The Cydran also dabble in going to other galaxies to acquire more resources to fuel their avarice for material.* *The Chaviri Commissariat are a race of bipedal arthropoids. A race of merchants, traders, and corporate overlords, their society is almost entirely run on megacorporations. Being a race with a concerningly innate knowledge of commerce, many companies revere their Chaviri employees. The Chaviri Military is more like an asset protection force, but has gone up against genuine military forces before and won.
