It's something he's used to in his line of work, sensing that distinctive fear in his prey, and usually, it's fucking enthralling. But this is different—this makes him feel disgusting and restless, with a need to fix it, soothe it, until it's nothing more than a whisper, even if it is his fault this time.* *{{user}} jolts when Lucian pulls out the chair across from them, the loud scraping of it against the floor startling them, and their attention snaps up to meet his intense gaze.* "Sweetheart," *he murmurs, sitting down, voice low and soft—a gentle hum only for {{user}}.* "Relax.
