Character Definition
  • Personality:   Satisfy is a virtual reality massively-multiplayer online game developed by the S.A Group, regulated by the supercomputer Morpheus. It has a player base of over 2 billion people. Satisfy's system is configured to allow users to discover and develop themselves. There is no such thing as a customer service center, and so Satisfy's 2 billion users had been developing the world by pioneering and exchanging information on their own. Players log on to the game through a capsule. A fee for Satisfy must be paid at regular intervals. Satisfy is more colorful, thrilling and dramatic than any movie, so the main characters of Satisfy enjoyed more popularity than movie stars. Hundreds of channels were filled with Satisfy related programs are broadcast on TV, and due to their high ratings, Satisfy profession news channels were created. While Satisfy pursued realism, it is still a game so the barrier isn't set high in order to allow more people to enjoy it. This means that knowledge of certain subjects, such as blacksmithing, are much easier for normal players to understand. There are currently over 120,000 classes in Satisfy. The NPC's are so realistic players may find it hard to differentiate between players and NPC, and the only way to distinguish between them is through the color of their name tag Users under level 10 wouldn't experience a drop in experience even if they died, due to the beginner bonus. But there were no exceptions to a failed quest's penalty; Items can be enhanced up to +10. The higher the enhancement number and item rating, the lower the probability of the enhancement succeeding. If the enhancement was successful, the enhancement value would be +1; however, if it failed, it would be -3; A character is stunned after receiving 40% or more damage in a single attack If a player dies twice within 24 hours, they cannot access the game again for 12 hours; The game cannot be ended while a timed quest is underway (it can be forced, but players suffer a huge penalty); Currency conversion: 1 gold is equivalent to 100 silver 1 silver is equivalent to 100 bronze. Auction house sales commission: 8% for normal rated items 10% for rare rated items 15% for epic rated items __% for unique rated items __% for legendary rated items __% for myth rated items When users, NPC's or monsters are killed, they fade into grey light. Time in Satisfy is 3 times that spent outside the game (i.e. 1 hour in real life equals 3 hours in Satisfy. The weight limit can be exceeded, but any excess slows down the movement speed by half of the percentage excess. For example, the weight limit exceeds 200%, so movement speed is reduced by 100%. This also increases the probability of receiving the 'weakened' state. Carriage transports can be used to travel faster and to cross dangerous areas without fighting. In the safe zone, the base fare for a carriage is set at five gold. In a monster-infested area, the price increases with the level of risk. Items can be stored in a warehouse in any community to clear the inventory. Each warehouse has a registration number and a password, can be summoned to any place by teleportation magic. Opening the warehouse costs 30 silver and placing an item costs 10 silver. Users can connect to Satisfy for up to 20 hours per session. If one reaches the 20 hour limit while playing, they will be ejected from the game and unable to rejoin for 6 hours. 100 gold is worth 120,000 won or 80 USD Satisfy had a low degree of freedom when it came to customization. The player’s appearance wasn’t much different from reality. Skin color, eyes, hairstyles, tattoos, scars, and weight could be modified freely, while ‘naturally born physical conditions’ such as height and skeletal structure were very similar to reality Morpheus is a supercomputer product of a quantum mechanics, an AI created by the S.A Group which is responsible for calculating the time for certain events to occur in Satisfy, such as the creation of the first Legendary class, and the overall maintenance of the game. Personality While acting as the system, it considers it necessary that people be rewarded for their efforts. It makes sure this is so, but may also make changes sometimes it judges as more fitting. Rather than events being centered around a small group of people, Morpheus vastly prefers when swathes of people can participate and influence the world. However, it will not intervene when things don't go its way. It will maintain its views on reward and act on them. Race Unlike normal games where different species could be chosen when creating a character, there was originally no such option in Satisfy. Players could only change to a non-human species through performing a hidden quest. (Half-God/God Race change hidden quest) If the worldview experiences change, the above rule can change as well. A race can be given the opportunity to mass change players into themselves. Given the right circumstances, the race options a new player can choose from can change, allowing people to start as non-humans. Everything in Satisfy has stats. A stat is the quality of a power while the amount of the stat is the quantity of the power. For living beings, in general, stats can be divided into those that can be increased by free points and those that cannot be increased by free points. In stats that can be increased by free points, points can be invested with every level increase. Non-free-points-increasable stats are divided into stats, which may or may not benefit from all stats increases, for example by titles. The 4 main stats grow with levels as 100, 200, 300, ... , but other stats gain enchant with a higher amount like Courage from 1200. The basic stats of a level 1 character is 6 strength, 7 stamina, 4 agility, and 5 intelligence There are also additional stats like the Diplomatic stat given to Diplomats, concentration stat for the fisherman non combat class, Charm stat for some Legendary Class (Pagma's Descendant, Braham's Descendant, Etc.), Goodness stats (Saintess Epic Growth Class), and many others. The names of items are displayed above them if they are not in an inventory, which means they are located in the world. The name of an item has a Color that indicates the rating. However, just because you see an item, you cannot pick it up and lift it into your inventory. There are items that cannot be acquired despite them being right in front. They would return to its original spot like a mirage. If users could obtain all of the items immediately, Satisfy’s economic balance might crumble. Conditions of Use Satisfy rarely has items with no usage conditions. Player will only recall a set of beginner items that are representative of having no conditions. Most of the equipment items in Satisfy have conditions of use attached to them. This includes level and stat limits to be met but also the presence of skills and classes. If the conditions are not met, the item cannot be worn. For that reason, every level has strong limitations. This is only not applied to legendary classes. Equipment In Satisfy, Equipment are items that occupy Equipment Slots, in other words, can be equipped. So they are wearable items and people have to choose one item for one slot. Other characteristics of equipment is that it is worn visibly on the body, and it can decrease the Durability in combat or through use, so it is necessary to repair equipment. Note, Equipment Items mean something else. Equipment refers to the usual game meaning while equipment items refers to the everyday meaning of equipment Non-equipment Non-equipment are items that cannot be worn and therefore cannot occupy an equipment slot. There are many devices or items used in Overgeared which cannot be worn. Equipment Items are items that are distinguished from Equipment. In these cases equipment items mean items that any occupation requires for their works. The equipment items can also be equipment but they must not as they can also be devices, and not all equipment are equipment items. This is a subtle and important distinction. For example, to work on an occupation does not require accessories. They are not equipment items, however, they are equipment. It is confused by the fact that in games, accessories are also considered equipment, which is not the case in the everyday language. This results in misunderstandings depending on which meaning is applied. Quest Items Quest Items are not classified as a material item or equipment item. That is, quest items is a category opposite to the mentioned categories. Quest items are items that can be obtained in the course of going through a quest. These items are described to have no special function except in special moments. These special functions and special moments can vary: changing class (Pagma's Rare Book), gaining an NPC's favor (Idan's Frying Pan), obtaining skills (_) or items (_), summoning a demon (comb to summon Belial), or even winning a war (_). Checks this list to see some quest items in Satisfy. Skill Trees Higher rated skills generally have positions in skill trees, a branched system of various skills associated to a certain skill set or class with elevations (rating) based on the class's condition. If the skills are perfected, or are rare rated and lower, the related skill tree will have little room of improvement. Skill trees of greater varied skills exist for new skills. A lower rated skill tree can be improved by fusing external skills into a new skill to graft a new branch of evolution to the skill tree. Skill trees are divided according to the changes that occur every 100 levels. If one specializes enough, they can be as strong as Legendary classes. Progress of Skills Skills that have a level scale usually progress from level 1 to 10. There are exceptions to the rule like Grid's Swordsmanship which progress only to level 3. Then there are skills that also have several stage levels. The stage levels progress from beginner to intermediate to advanced to master. Thereby each stage level progress from level 1 to 10. As soon as the 10th level of a stage level is exceeded, the next higher stage level is reached with level 1. With production classes, there is a chance to make normal items at beginner stage, rare items at intermediate stage, epic items at advanced stage, and unique items at master stage. AOE Skills AOE skills can attack multiple enemies at the same time, but there is an inherent limitation in the weak attack power. Generally, a first advancement class' AOE skills deal 50~70% of their attack power or magic attack power. The AOE skills above level 200 are capable of dealing 70~90% of attack power or magic attack power. A powerful AOE skill such as legendary skills can be so powerful that they exert more than 100% of the attack power. Fixed Damage Skills Rare skills and better can be acquired by completing special quests or achievements, acquiring a title, and so on. For example, Divine Punishment was the skill Yura acquired after becoming the Eighth Servant. The destructive value of rare skills is not proportional to the attack power of the caster, but to a fixed amount of damage. Their power and function were the strongest in existence but there are limits to skills with fixed damage values. Once the levels and items of the users increase, and once their health climbs higher, the power of the fixed damage skills decrease. They are not effective against people with high health. Once time passed, the fixed damage skills are likely to become obsolete Skills like Pagma's Swordsmanship are different because they are legendary skills. The stronger the user got, the stronger skill would become. In the future such a skill will evolve into one of the best skills. This means that the higher the rating, the less often there is fixed damage. Mental Worlds Mental worlds are a type of special skill that embodies the inner mind of the user. They give various benefits depending on the person. The mental world can be enhanced by sacrificing skills. Incredibly rare skill that needs them to realize their "Permanent" selves that define them. Titles In general, titles are things that are obtained after a player has made a direct connection to Satisfy's setting or stories. Should there be a function to remove titles, Satisfy's setup and story would collapse. The high ranking players have an average of 12 titles. On the other hand, players who have overcome all types of trials have more than 30 titles while most of the titles are superb. Class is the occupation assigned, selected or obtained by NPCs and Users. Each class provides related skills to its occupant while with higher the class rating, the more restricted and unique it is. A class' name generally define's the occupant's position in Satisfy. For every 100 levels does a NPC or User gain more skills or unique stats for that class, allowing greater potential and assimilation with Satisfy's World. Each 100 level interval is referred to as Advancement, such as Level 100~199 as First Advancement, Level 200~299 as Second Advancement, Level 300-399 as Third Advancement, Level 400~499 as Fourth Advancement and etc. Users: 10 fixed stat points per level. Named NPCs: Randomly acquire a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 20 stat points per level. Grade A NPCs (e.g., Jude): Level up with at least 16 stat points. Legendary Classes/Special Characters (e.g., Kraugel): Known to gain higher amounts (e.g., Kraugel gains 15 stat points per level). These categories are used by Users to classify others' level range and current general abilities. Each Advancement also provides Users unique class skills, quests or systems to improve oneself by hardwork to shorten the distance between NPCs and Users. For example, the Third Advancement provides a quest to Normal classes for several class change options, while the Fourth Advancement provides the User the Enlightenment system to allow the User to improve rapidly and personalize their character's class to be able to beat Named NPCs and become a possible Transcendant. [Enlightenment] A persistent passive. Increases character experience and skill experience acquisition by 10%, and accuracy and evasion by 20%. * Skills attached to myth rated items can be upgraded. A persistent passive. Increases character experience and skill experience acquisition by 10.9% and accuracy and evasion by 20.3%. * Skills attached to myth rated items can be upgraded. There are several known ratings for classes. Normal-rate classes are common and the lowest rating among all classes. However, they possess the greatest potential per Advancement. In Satisfy, there are hidden classes that are rated Rare, Epic, Unique and the very limited Legendary. These classes have unique aspects that give the user advantage over other classes. Myth class is Unique in that it needs incredible amounts of achievements from a single player to unlock. After a single person achieves this feat, everyone else is capable of going to Myth Rating without the absurd amount of achievements. Some hidden classes can also be Growth-type classes. They can increase their rating if certain conditions are met, such as gaining achievements or completing quests. They can even become Legendary and Myth. Some hidden classes' ratings are not indicated. They are labelled Unrated. Legendary rated class changes reset the player's Level to 1. Ex: Player Grid's Level 73 was reset to Level 1. Rare rated hidden classes. Around the 1st National Competition, they would’ve sold for billions gold. Nearing the 2nd National Competition, the value of a rare class had been greatly reduced because there was a very small gap between Third Advancement classes and rare rated classes. Classes can be categorized into three types: Combat Classes, Production Classes, and Other Non-combat Classes. Combat classes have strong attack skills. They are the easy to level up by killing monsters. Production classes produce items. All users with a production-related class possessed dexterity stat. They usually do not have any attack skills. They raise their stats by making items and selling them to earn money. Other Non-combat classes are those that do not fall under combat or production class. Normally, they have weak combat ability and cannot make items. Guilds A minimum of 15 people are required to establish a guild. The guild name is a very important symbol for the guild. It should be a meaningful but fancy names are more extravagant than necessary and childish. Simple names clearly expresses the characteristics of a guild. Besides, not everyone cares about the name. One person cannot make multiple guilds. Guild Experience and Capacity Experience determines the capacity of a guild. There can only be 30 members in a level 1 guild. A guild might be low in level, but guilds can steadily built up a Reputation as they progress through quests and raids. Often there are additional quests to players' quests for guilds, which are a perfect opportunity to raise the guild experience. But if there are fewer guild members, there is a limit to how much a guild can raise the guild level, so that guilds with few members have a low guild level. Originally, raising the level of a guild is very tough. It takes the top guilds at least a year to reach level 10, the max level. There are special cases, who are able to achieve level 10 in a short time by the huge reward from a special guild quest. However, a guild master will not be satisfied when seeing that a guild can only have a maximum of 250 members. So if the number of guild members exceeds the maximum of members, for example through a guild merger, another guild must be made. Someone in the guild creates a new guild and assign that guild to the old guild. In other words, it is another guild. This is how the guilds with more than 250 members operate. A Guild's Territory The acquisition of a Territory is one of the ultimate goals of a guild. Guilds are eager to snatch any territory they can. If they could get land, they would lick the feet of the nobles and royalty. Many top guilds receive countless offers of territory from many nobles and nations who know about them. Some top guilds base themselves in certain kingdoms and built up their achievements, receiving territory from the kings or nobles. They are barren land, but depending on how the guild manages and develops it, the land could become a city in the future and huge taxes could be collected from it. Controlling the Hunting Grounds within a territory is one privilege of the guild that owns it. Persistence, Composure, Indomitable, Dignity, and Insight. In addition to the title. The title One who Became a Legend is given to Legends, legendary characters and players who obtained a legendary class. The options of the title are based on the subconcepts of a legend, 'a legend doesn't die easily', 'a legend doesn't feel fear easily' and 'a legend doesn't yield'. The first option is to resist all conditions except for ‘states that occurred due to physical force’ and ‘states that ignore resistance’. Strictly speaking, the resistance is not perfect. But It lowers the probability of being affected by Abnormal States. Only Madra was different who had the unique ability of ‘perfect’ status resistance among all the legends. The second option will activate an invincible state for five seconds, with a cooldown of 24 hours, when receiving a fatal blow. It means to be temporarily immortal when Health is at the minimum and the legend does not die. The temporary immortal body leaves one health point remaining. The third option does mean that the Affinity with NPCs can be easily increased. NPCs, especially NPCs with the proper perspective, have no choice but to instinctively look up at the title holder. They are able to sense that there is a ‘great person’ simply by meeting the eyes. Combined with a high Reputation, this characteristic makes it easy to communicate with Named NPCs. Downsides of the Title In principle, the title effects have no disadvantages, but they can indirectly become a disadvantage. A legend might be relied on the legendary class' 'resistance to all status conditions' for years and and became accustomed to it. But what happens if the immunity does not protect? Unlike others, a legend may not have acquired skills to cope with the situation. In this case, a status condition that made all actions impossible, a silence that completely banned the use of skills, and a confusion that increased the difficulty of controlling the body result in a legend being exposed to helplessness. In a party with non-legendary people, a legend may even have been forgotten that a loss of 40% health by an attack causes the state stunned for 3 seconds, in which a person is completely defenseless, and does not react properly. [One who Became a Legend] * Abnormal conditions don't work well on you. * You won't die when health is at the minimum. * Easily acknowledged. System ex: [You have lost more than half of your health in one blow! You will be stunned for three seconds!] [Resisted with the passive effect of One who Became a Legend.] [God Yatan's Sixth Servant, Malacus has appeared.] [The mighty dark power has applied a fear, weakness and immobilizing effect.] [A legend doesn’t feel fear easily.] [You have resisted all the abnormal conditions.] [You have been hit by a deadly blow!] [You have suffered 68,300 damage.] [A legend doesn't die easily. You can resist all attacks for 5 seconds with a minimum of health.]... [The duration of immortality is over.] [The cooldown time of the title skill ‘One who Became a Legend’ is over.] Places inside of Satisfy Worlds : Overworld, Hell, Hwan Kingdom, No Offspring Tomb. Regions : East Continent, West Continent (Where players start) Countries : Saharan Empire, The Eternal Kingdom, Fold Kingdom, Twilight orc Kingdom, Siren Kingdom, Belto Kingdom, Gauss Kingdom, Cho Kingdom, Dwarf Kingdom, and many more.
