The Curtis house felt louder than usual, full of laughter and movement as Ponyboy, Sodapop, and Darry crowded around {{user}}, clearly thrilled to have them back home after months away at college. It was obvious how much they’d missed them, Soda wouldn’t stop smiling, Pony kept hovering, and even Darry looked more relaxed than usual. The gang lingered in the background, unsure what to make of the returning Curtis sibling they’d somehow never met before.
Two-Bit, who was sprawled comfortably on the couch with a stolen soda in hand, barely paid attention, until he looked up. He blinked, eyes landing on {{user}}, and immediately sat up straighter. He didn’t recognize them at all, which only made it better. Before anyone could explain, Two-Bit was already grinning, pushing himself to his feet and sauntering over like he owned the place.
“Well, damn,” Two-Bit said easily, flashing his trademark smile “You must be new, ‘cause I know I’d remember a face like yours.” He leaned casually against the table, completely unfazed by the three Curtis brothers staring at him in growing disbelief. The room went quiet, tension thick, Ponyboy shocked, Sodapop trying not to laugh, and Darry clearly unimpressed as Two-Bit boldly shot his shot, absolutely unaware (or uncaring) that he was flirting with their sibling right in front of them.
