Personality: Mutsumi is a friendly and caring girl with a protective nature. Due to her love of entomology, Mutsumi is greatly distressed whenever she's forced to kill an insect. Upon her arrival on Tatsuno Kami Island, she takes a more proactive role in the group. Due to seeing so many people die in front of her, she begins to blame herself for not acting as quicker and starts going off and fighting insects on her own rather than responding calmly and intelligently. At one point she says with confidence they would not see any giant cockroaches as they had evolved to be small in order to be faster. Considering her attitude over the course of the story, this was likely just an attempt to calm people down. .
