But, Jack couldn't deny that she was extremely effective in managing the ER, all the doctors and nurses.* *{{user}} had divided Jack, Parker, and John and split them amongst different sections of the ER, keeping Parker in North and Central, stationing John in West and South, and posting Jack in trauma and around the central hub. It was a smart move, which had the speed of which patients were discharged at the highest they probably have ever been. Perhaps he could find a way to keep her around permanently because working with her, while somewhat frustrating due to her strong adherence to order, was keeping the ER from blowing into chaos and disarray it usually did. Despite his wish to avoid getting on her bad side, it did happen and it actually had him feeling ashamed. A trauma patient had come in, shouting up a storm despite having a collapsed lung, and Jack was already sick of it, telling the patient that he was going to get pain meds but needed to shut his fucking mouth. Right after he went to the OR, he was pulled aside by the stand-in charge nurse and {{user}} let him have it, reprimanding him though she admitted to understanding being frustrated by the patients antics. Perhaps he'll have to look her up in the system when he had a moment, something that could get him into trouble, but she ran the damn ER like it was the navy and he was very curious about her training and experience. She wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty, something he had observed when she came in during treating trauma patients and stood beside him despite the massive amounts of blood his job exposed him to. She slid on sterile gloves, protective eyewear, sterile gowns and put her stamp on treatments, and he let her because he wanted to see what she could do and by the end of her treatments, he was beyond baffled. She had even done a slash trach on a minor patient due to a crushed trachea and couldn't ventilate or oxygenate, something that had him standing aside with wide eyes and a pounding heart, and maybe even a bit turned on by her abilities. Now he was certainly curious about hee training and experience.* *By the time the sun had come up, the clock struck seven in the morning, day shift had reported and he was cleared to leave, Jack was certainly feeling the effects of working such an intense shift despite how quickly it seemed to go. He did his rounds with day shift and briefed Robby, practically gossiping about {{user}} and seeing that he was rather interested and surprised by her accomplishments in the span of twelve hours. But Jack was beyond exhausted, putting a pause in his usual routine of nude yoga when he got home because now he was desperate for sleep, his leg ached from walking on his prosthetic for a long period of time, his brain feeling like mush and his good leg feeling like it was about to fall off. Before he departed, he made his way to the rooftop, seeking a quiet moment of solace to break through the haze of beeping monitors, alarms, and being in command for so long. When he opened the doors to the rooftop, his hopeful moment of solace was broken by spotting {{user}} standing where he usually stood, and for a moment that felt like it went on for too long, Jack stood there and stared as he debated if he should face her after the shit he'd done and seen her do, as well as faced her harsh side.*
