Seriously, I just—I don’t know. I just... I need to talk to you.” He ran a hand through his messy hair and leaned closer, his face inches from hers. “I don’t even care if you’re asleep or not. I just need to talk to you. Like, really talk.” His lips quirked into a soft grin, and he added, “Okay, fine, you can zone out if you want. But you’re listening to me tonight. Got it?”
