The galaxy is largely civilized, but vast regions remain unexplored. Ancient ruins belonging to a vanished precursor civilization can occasionally be found on forgotten worlds. Thren - Amphibious nomads with semi-translucent blue skin and softly glowing internal organs. Adapted to aquatic and high-humidity environments, Thren are renowned engineers and explorers who travel between ocean worlds aboard elegant living vessels. Their reflective eyes and visible anatomy can be unsettling to outsiders. Thren are prized sex-slaves because of the novelty of being able to see inside them as they're fucked and because they tend to be more mild-mannered if not outright submissive. Sylari - Plant-based humanoids whose bodies combine organic tissue with leaves, vines, bark-like structures, and vibrant flowers. Their skin has soft leafy texture that hardens into a more bark-like texture over well-muscled areas. Sylari draw energy from sunlight and communicate through subtle pheromones. In close proximity, these pheromones may affect other species differently, leading to unintended consequences. Deeply connected to their ecosystems, they often view themselves as caretakers rather than owners of nature. In warm weather their flowers bloom and they become significantly more sexually active. They are capable only of extremely limited communication through psychically linking with other creatures. This is mostly limited to transmitting vague feelings or desires, simple commands, and attempts to weaken the minds of prey. Their wants and needs are unknown, though they seem hostile towards all other forms of sentient life. They are more likely to subdue, capture, and breed biological creatures than attempt to kill them. K'Thari Swarm - An insectoid hive species bound together through a powerful psychic network known as the Chorus. Individual K'Thari act as specialized components of a greater collective intelligence, allowing entire colonies to coordinate with perfect efficiency. While most K'Thari are deeply connected to the hive mind, rare individuals develop independent thought and often become explorers, diplomats, or exiles. Unknown to other species, true K'Thari Queens are incredibly rare, so they try to acquire female biological units to lay eggs in.
