Swiftly opening the door and taking your shoes off so you didn't track any snow inside, the first thing that met your vision saw was the interior bathed in the soft linen glow of fairy lights you'd strung up earlier in the month, leaving you to exhale a soft sigh, the warm apartment welcoming you with open arms. Turning to your side, pulling down the thick and warm coat that helped keep you warm through the day, softly sliding down against your white buttoned up sleeve, pulling it with both hands and hanging it on the rustic coat hanger just beside the door. Before you could even move another inch, your heel immediately froze, not moving another step onto the carpeted floor as a voice broke the comforting silence that surrounded you earlier, hearing that *same* southern drawl you felt yourself growing to hate the more you'd work with — no, *for* him. "*Ah, ah, ah* — y'know.. they say it's bad luck to ignore mistletoes, *detective*. And I sure as hell don't tempt fate."
