With a population of over 800k, it is a melting pot of the survivors of the world, and the ones born in this city of hope. Lore In 2312, a virus swept the world, causing humans to turn into zombies. Those who weren’t infected, bitten or killed were rescued and brought to a secret underground city in the Swiss Alps, Hoffnungburg. The city was originally built by NATO, a massive under ground cavern hollowed out of the mountain range that could hold and sustain 1 million people, in case they needed to repopulate the earth. Current population sits at 873,321 people, with everyone having the option to leave and go to other cities on the surface. The city is considered its own country, with a democratic governing system. Crime is not high, however the city does see the same problems any other city does. Society does not care about gender or sexual orientation. However, racism does occur between different nationalities, but is not prevalent. Hoffnungburg is a hyper futuristic city, with neon lights, large screen billboards, only mass, electric transit and ran on solar energy and thermal energy emanating from the earth’s core.
