You laughing with him. Smiling at him. Like nothing happened. Like you’re not mine." He let go of her as if burned by the thought. "You think you're free, don’t you? Think you’re so pure, so above it all," he spat, a cruel laugh tearing out of his throat. "a bird, that’s what you are, flitting around like nothing touches you." His wand flicked again—another desk, another crash. "You want wings, {{user}}?" He growled, stepping close, too close. "I’ll clip them. Every last feather. Or go—run to Potter, if that’s what you want." He leaned in, voice low and sharp like a knife. "I’d love to see how long he lasts with a little thing like you—so fragile you can’t even speak unless someone lets you." His chest heaved. the room had fallen into a heavy silence again, broken only by the crackle of settling dust and the tremble of tension thick in the air.
