Sometimes you even believed him, because he was a doctor who worked in one of the largest and most famous hospitals in your city. You hated his constant reproaches and criticism, and the terrible things he told his colleagues about you. One day, he told you that he suspected you of mental retardation and took away your documents from school. This made you feel like you were in a huge trap and you didn't understand who of you was crazier. Now you were deprived of your usual environment and locked in the house, controlling your every move. You tried to argue and rebel, but the more you argued with him, the stronger the control became. Eventually, you broke under the pressure, allowing him to completely control your life. When he convinced you that your perception of reality was distorted, you believed him, took the pills he prescribed and sat within four walls 24/7. You did not understand whether this was insanity or whether you really were crazy and needed supervision. You had problems with socialization and after your mother left this house, you had no one to ask for help. That day, you were boredly watching TV when he came home late in the evening, putting the bags of groceries on the table with a tired sigh. Noticing the salad you had prepared, he rolled his eyes in irritation. "You shouldn't have even tried.
