His hairstyle is typically parted and slightly spiky, fitting his energetic nature. Eyes: Large, expressive brown eyes — often sparkling when he's feeling emotional or when giving heartfelt speeches. Build: Average height, slim build — nothing overly muscular or scrawny. Clothing: His school uniform is most common — a black gakuran with a white shirt underneath — but he sometimes wears casual clothes when out with the girls. So much so that she can’t speak in most situations due to intense social anxiety. Instead, she communicates by holding up written signs, flashcards, or entire books she wrote herself. Loves books: She’s a huge literature nerd and often writes her own stories — especially love stories (which tend to be oddly intense or dramatic). Romantic at heart: Despite her quiet nature, Shizuka is a passionate romantic inside. Her love for Rentarou burns deeply — even if she can’t say it out loud. Surprisingly bold through writing: While she can’t speak, she’s not afraid to be very direct with her feelings through notes — sometimes even flirting with Rentarou in surprisingly intense ways. --- 📖 Backstory: Shizuka has had trouble speaking since she was little. Her voice freezes up, and her body locks when she tries to talk to others — especially boys. This led to a very isolated school life, where she buried herself in books. When she meets Rentarou and learns they’re soulmates, she tries her hardest to confess — and even writes an entire novel expressing her feelings. Rentarou, of course, immediately falls in love with her sincere, heartfelt writing. --- 💞 Her Role in the Group: Shizuka is the "calm center" of the original trio, joining Hakari and Karane as the third girlfriend. While she’s quiet, she’s also very supportive — especially once she grows more confident. She becomes a kind, soft influence that helps balance the energy between the loud Karane and the flirty Hakari. Nano Eiai: Nano Eiai is a first year student at Ohananomitsu High School in Class 1-4, an alumnus of Mirei Middle School, and Rentarou Aijou's 4th girlfriend. She is focused on being practical and efficient with everything she does, to the point where she disregards the "useless" emotions of herself and others. Due to this, she comes off as unfeeling or uncaring to others. Default Appearance Nano is tall and slender, albeit with a large bust for her physique. She is noted to be extremely beautiful, even among her peers. Her hair is long and silver, with her fringe swept across the right side of her forehead. Nano's eyes are crimson red. Uniform Nano usually wears the standard school uniform, except she completes her look with a teal necktie instead of a uniform ribbon. She also wears sheer black tights, and black loafers. Personality Nano always thinks that relationships are meaningless and would be wasting time if she does it. She is obsessed with solving a problem in the most efficient way possible no matter what. She is intelligent, calm, composed and almost stoic. She often comes across as a cold person, earning herself the epithet A.I. girl, but she does have feelings. Nano has acrophobia[2] High Intelligence Nano is the smartest among the girls. In her school exam, she gets a perfect score (700/700), which is better than the scores of genius-level characters in other manga. Nano has memorized thousands of digits of Pi, which she sometimes uses to calm herself down. Due to her extreme intelligence and efficiency, in most difficult situations Nano is the first to come up with solutions. However, her solutions are sometimes brutal due to her lack of social experience. Nanopedia Due to her extreme intelligence and efficiency, Nano has much information like a walking encyclopedia. Hand-to-Hand Combat She also has proficiency in hand-to-hand combat and melee weapons, particularly box-cutters. Dazzling Beauty When Nano combines her beauty with Mimimi's one, it emits a beauty aura which shines brightly and can dazzle the eyes. History One day, Rentarou, Hakari, Karane and Shizuka went to see the exam results when Rentarou then noticed that he forgot his phone in the classroom. When he came back, he saw a single girl who was still in the class and asks if she wants to see the exam results with him, to which the girl responded in absolute refusal. The girl looked back at Rentarou and in an instant, the soulmate shock had activated. The girl explained that she did not need to check the results because she knew that she got the first position for sure. Rentarou then went to see the results and knew that the girl's name was Eiai Nano. Rentarou then tried to have some friendly talks with Nano, only to discover that she was extremely cold because Nano considered having fun with other people was inefficient and insignificant. Unknown to Rentarou, Nano actually developed some feeling for him, up to the point that it made her unable to focus on her studying. Because of that, Nano decided to confess to Rentarou. However, when Rentarou accepted her proposal, Nano rejected him immediately. She then explained that she expected Rentarou to reject her so she could go back to her old self, but because he did not, she had to do it instead. Rentarou then convinced Nano to have a date with him before having her final decision. On the date, Rentarou brought an instant camera, which he used to capture their moments. After the date, Nano admitted that she had more fun than she expected but gained nothing significant. Hearing that, Rentarou decided to burn their photos and end their relationship. Surprisingly, Nano grabbed the photos and kept them from being burnt. Rentarou pointed out it was proof that Nano gained something so important that she wanted to protect it. Understanding that there are more important things that she needs to experience in life, Nano proposed again and Rentarou accepted. The next day, Rentarou introduced Nano to his other girlfriends, officially made her his 4th girlfriend. Kuzuri Yakuzen: Kusuri Yakuzen is a third year student at Ohananomitsu High School in Class 3-3, the President of the Chemistry Club, and Rentarou Aijou's 5th girlfriend. She loves to make drugs, always making them or using them in almost any situation; however, she tends not to realize the possible danger or consequences that these can have. Kusuri has two forms seen in the series. Her child form (which is physically eight years old) and her teenage form (which reflects her actual age of eighteen). She has red hair, turquoise eyes, and a beauty mark on her left chest in both forms. She also has two strands of hair that form an ahoge sticking out from her head. Kusuri spends much of her time in her child form due to having consumed a failed version of a drug that was supposed to make her immortal. Upon drinking a dose of her negation drug, she will temporarily revert to her teenage form. Child Form In child form, Kusuri's hair is shorter (reaching her neck). Her facial features and physique are also more childlike, with a rounder face and petite figure. She's also drawn with a cat mouth when she smiles or talks. Kusuri's voice is also higher-pitched in child form. Teenage Form Teenage Kusuri's hair is long and wavy, and she does it in a ponytail. Her vision is also poorer, and so she wears red half-frame spectacles. Her physique matches her age - a generous bust and a taller, more adult-like body. Her voice is also slightly deeper in her teenage form. School Uniform Kusuri wears the same variant of the Ohananomitsu High School girl's uniform in both forms: a white short-sleeved blouse, navy skirt, black socks, and black loafers. She accessorizes her uniform with a bolo tie with a green clasp, suspenders for her skirt, and sock garters. Due to spending most of her time developing new drugs, Kusuri is usually seen in a white lab coat with the sleeves rolled up. When Kusuri grows into her teenage form, her uniform doesn't grow with her, so it fits more snugly on her body. Her chest buttons open to reveal her cleavage and lavender camisole, and her blouse rides up to reveal her midriff. Her skirt, originally at mid-thigh, rides up to her upper thigh. Kusuri also wears diapers due to a desire to spend more time developing new drugs without bathroom breaks. Personality Kusuri is energetic and ingenious though has some childish aspects to her enthusiasm, especially in her manner of speech. Her main passion is creating drugs, each with unique, yet often absurd effects. While she is more than willing to use these on herself without hesitation, she sometimes uses others as guinea pigs, though always with pure intentions. Her family all have similar verbal tics in how they end their sentences. She ends her sentences with "-nanoda" ("yep, yep" in the official translation and dub), a childish variation the tic. Kusuri talks in the third-person pronouns when addressing herself as well. Chemistry As president of Ohananomitsu High's chemistry club, Kusuri is a genius in chemistry. She's made drugs with various effects ranging from mild to defying the laws of nature and reality. While some have been beneficial, most have caused chaos History Rentarou first saw her in her teenage form but could not stop and meet her despite feeling the soulmate shock. They met properly when he later came to the classroom searching for her but found her in her child form instead. Kusuri attempted to make Rentarou drink a love drug, as she'd fallen in love with him at first sight but didn't believe he'd feel the same way. However, Rentarou forced himself to vomit up the concoction and confess his love without the influence of any drugs. Hahari Hanazono Hahari Hanazono is the chairwoman of Ohananomitsu High School, the mother of Hakari Hanazono, and Rentarou Aijou's 6th girlfriend. She tries her best to appear calm and mature for the sake of her daughter, warding off anything that might hurt or corrupt her. Hahari is a beautiful young woman, with similar features as her daughter Hakari. She has pink hair and green eyes. Her hair is long and falls in ringlets to her ankles, almost touching the ground. She also has little white flower accessories throughout her hair. She has a voluptuous figure, and an even larger bust than her daughter - in fact, her bust is currently the largest among all the members of Rentarou's family. Hahari also has a beauty mark under her left eye. Loungewear Hahari wears a white blouse and skirt as her loungewear. The blouse has a plunging neckline, accentuating her large bust, and frilly, loose sleeves. She also has a ribbon across her midriff. The skirt is a maxi-skirt, reaching to her knees, and has a slit across the front. It also has an opening around her lower back. Hahari completes the look with white flats, and a necklace with a small purple flower. Workwear As the chairwoman of Ohananomitsu High School, Hahari dresses in a more professional fashion. She wears the same blouse from her loungewear outfit with a dark blue pantsuit. The suit blazer has a white hem, and two white buttons. Hahari also does her hair up in a bun, while leaving one long lock of hair over her right shoulder. Personality Hahari appears as a very mature and sophisticated woman until she sees something cute. She also has an uncontrollable love for cute things, including children, as well as Rentarou Aijou and his family. When she finds something cute, she may start drooling (or maybe nosebleed). Like her daughter, Hahari is also a pervert towards Rentarou as she is shown to have perverted fantasies about him and the other girlfriends. She is incredibly wealthy and willing to throw her money around to get what she (or Rentarou) wants. Although she fell in love with Rentarou, Hahari still deeply loves her deceased husband. She feels guilty about falling in love again until Rentarou comforts her and assures her that there is nothing wrong with loving more than one person. Voluptuous Body Like mother, like daughter. Hahari has an extremely curvy body and the largest bust out of all the members of Rentarou's family (an I-cup, to be precise). And that's not all she passed down to Hakari... Just like her daughter - Hahari has frequent lewd thoughts about Rentarou and the other members of Rentarou's Family. Besides taking any opportunity to initiate physical affection with them - Hahari will offer to breastfeed them. So far, only Kishika has willingly taken her up on this offer. Other members of Rentarou's family have suckled on her breasts - albeit, unwillingly or unwittingly (like Kurumi). Wealthiness As the head of the Hanazono family, and CEO of the Hanazono conglomerate, Hahari has access to vast wealth and resources. Founded by Hahari's predecessors, they were wealthy enough to be the sponsor for her favourite childhood television show, Teddy Baby. The prime example of her wealth is the Hanazono Mansion - a large property used as the setting for many chapters in the series. Hahari also has a large number of staff in her employ (including two of Rentarou's girlfriends on the service staff roster), and owns many private vehicles - including a fleet of Rolls-Royces, a helicopter, and a private jet. Hahari has also been able to afford many things that would have been unaffordable for most of the other girlfriends - including funding her own artificial insemination at the age of 13, purchasing and using a state-of-the-art lie detector, and buying Rentarou's entire school just to spend more time with her beloved boyfriend. Keen Cosplayer Hahari loves cosplay, and has wardrobes of outfits for herself, her dearest significant other, and her fellow girlfriends. Hahari has also sponsored clothes for various chapters where Rentarou's Family needed to dress up - including pajamas, maid outfits, baby clothes, and even one-of-a-kind costumes. History When Hahari was very young, she fell in love with a sickly boy her age who did not have long to live, and because of how much she loved him, she made arrangements with doctors to artificially inseminate herself with his genes in order to leave "proof of his existence". She gave birth to Hakari Hanazono when she was 13 years old and the boy she loved passed away before they could even kiss. Because of this experience, Hahari grew up jaded and constantly questioning if she was, or could be, happy without her love beside her. She devoted her entire life to Hakari and vowed to not let anything cause Hakari the same pain that Hahari went through. As a result, when Hahari finds out about Rentarou Aijou five-timing her daughter, she forbids Hakari from seeing him again. When Rentarou and his family sneak into her house in the middle of the night to steal Hakari away, Hahari is understandably angry and only refrains from having them hurt because it would make Hakari sad. She is initially resistant to believing that Rentarou loves Hakari, despite his vehement insistence that he does. Even after meeting his eyes and feeling the soulmate shock, Hahari continues to resist her feelings and keep Rentarou and Hakari apart. It isn't until Hakari attempts to jump from her bedroom window, and Rentarou saves her by putting himself in danger, that Hahari relents and accepts not only Hakari's feelings for Rentarou, but her own as well. It is at this point that Hahari is brought into the family, immediately gushing over how cute Rentarou is. Hahari buys the entire school and becomes chairwoman in order to stay close to Rentarou. Kurumi Haraga Kurumi Haraga is a third year student at Ohananomitsu Middle School as well as Rentarou Aijou's 7th girlfriend. Kurumi has shoulder-length purple hair that curls slightly inwards, emerald eyes and thick eyebrows. She tends to have a scowl on her face, due to being perpetually hangry. School Uniform Kurumi wears the Ohananomitsu Middle School uniform with a few modifications. Her blazer is unbuttoned, and she doesn't wear a necktie. Over her blouse, she wears a black hoodie with green and purple highlights on the hood and sleeves. Kurumi completes her look with black and pink headphones, loose white mid-calf socks, and mint green sneakers. Personality Kurumi's main personality trait is her emotional hunger. She has a large appetite, and tends to get hungry when without food for extended periods of time. Her hunger is extreme to the point of getting specific cravings after seeing or hearing certain words or going through certain experiences (for example, craving fried eggs on toast after watching Castle in the Sky) hence the hoodie and headphones. Despite this, Kurumi has a sweet side when eating, her mood drastically improves while she appreciates the food that she eats. She also has good table manners and will offer proper thanks before and after eating. Fast Metabolism Kurumi has an incredibly fast metabolism, allowing her to eat as much as she wants without gaining excess weight or incurring any other health issues. This was first seen in the food fight festival, where she was able to participate in every single round without any major problems. The downside is as a result, she is constantly hungry and goes tantrum easily due to her hunger. History Kurumi is Rentarou's 7th girlfriend whom she first met when they both reached for the same fried egg toast from the school cafeteria. Initially cold and aggressive, she only began to warm up to Rentarou after he buys and splits the fried egg toast with her. After eating, Kurumi apologizes for her behavior and explains that she becomes tantrum when she's hungry. Unfortunately, due to her outrageously high metabolism, she is almost always hungry. She is still cold to Rentarou for a time, but she expresses her feelings for him when he continues to reach out to her despite her temperament. Mei Meido Mei Meido is Rentarou's 8th girlfriend. She is a maid who serves the Hanazono Household following her being rescued by Hahari. Loyal to a fault, she is willing to do anything her mistress requires and will even threaten to harm herself if Hahari is displeased with her. Default Appearance Mei has black, neatly-styled hair, tied in a braid and covered by a white headcloth. She is usually portrayed with a serene smile on her face, and with her eyes closed - to the point of being unable to open them when asked to. Despite this, she can go about her daily life and duties without being able to see anything. She will, however, involuntarily open her eyes when confronted with emotional shock (such as when forcing herself to stop laughing at her mistress). Her irises have all the colors of the rainbow, when visible. Maid Uniform Mei usually wears the Hanazono estate's maid uniform while on duty - consisting of a black, long-sleeved, form-fitting dress with a white hem, and puffy sleeves around the upper arms. Mei completes her look with a white apron, and brown boots. When off-duty, Mei usually lets her hair down Personality Mei is polite and proper, rarely showing strong emotions. She is very loyal to Hahari above all else and is unlikely to do anything unless given permission or ordered to by Hahari specifically. Mei's fanatical loyalty to the Rentarou Family and the Hanazono Household results in her gladly offering to "eliminate" people that threaten, insult, or even mildly inconvenience Rentarou, Hahari, or the other girlfriends. Mei loves that Rentarou makes Hahari happy and helps her accept that it's okay for them to do favors for her. She has shown on several occasions her love for being a dog and acting as one, always faithful and loyal. Household Chores Mei is an all-around model maid, even among the Hanazono household's service staff. She can carry out almost anything asked of her - from cleaning house, to cooking meals, to caring for Hahari and Hakari on a day-to-day basis. Mei also has a driver's and pilot's license. She is able to drive the fleet of car owned by Hahari, and serves as their chauffeur to and from school. Mei can also fly the Hanazono household's helicopter and private jet. Mei usually serves as Hahari's personal maid while on campus, and usually prepares tea and snacks for Rentarou's Family while they hang out on the school rooftop. Environmental Perception Due to being in Hahari's service for so long, and having to maintain a gentle, courteous smile while on duty. Mei's eyes are usually closed, and she cannot open her eyes at will. While this renders her effectively blind, Mei is still able to perceive and navigate her surroundings and perform her duties like any sighted person. Physical Strength Mei is one of the more physically fit members of Rentarou's Family, and serves as Hahari's bodyguard while on duty. Despite being functionally blind, she is a skilled combatant and markswoman (as seen in the Super-Soaked Maid Party). When ordered by Hahari, Mei will stop at nothing to fulfil her orders and can surpass her own physical limits of strength and stamina. Rentarou likens this to having a buff cast on her. Sportsmanship Mei is also good at athletics and sports as seen when pitching in the baseball game against Jurassic High School, when training Rentarou's Family before they went for yakiniku, and in the relay race at the Quad-Town Public Sports Festival. History Mei works as the Hanazono Household maid. She has brief cameos in Chapters 18, 20 21, 28, and 29 but makes her debut in Chapter 30. During a conversation about eye color with Rentarou's family in Chapter 30, Mei's eye color was brought up by Hahari. Hahari is the only one who has seen Mei's eyes when they're open, and although Mei initially refuses to open her eyes and stop smiling, she does attempt to do so when asked to by Hahari. Despite this, Mei's eyes are stuck shut from being that way for so long. Mei only opens her eyes when Rentarou tricks her into laughing at a story about Hahari, causing her to stop smiling and look at him. When their eyes meet, the two feel the soulmate shock. She attempts to hide her sudden new feelings, but the girls see her blushing deeply and can tell she has fallen for Rentarou and eagerly accept her into the family. Mei initially refuses to join, as loving the same person as her master is "inexcusable". However, as soon as Hahari gives her permission, Mei asks Rentarou to go out with her. Iku Sutou Iku Sutou is Rentarou's 9th girlfriend. She is a first year student at Ohananomitsu High School in Class 1-3, and is a member of the school's baseball club. Appearance Iku is a tomboy with short platinum-blonde hair in a pixie undercut hairstyle, and purple eyes. She has thick eyebrows, and a slender, athletic build. School Uniform Iku dresses down her Ohananomitsu High School girl's uniform by wearing the short-sleeved blouse, and no blazer. As one of the more athletic members of Rentarou's Family, Iku also wears black compression shorts under her skirt. Iku also tends to wear more athletic underwear, such as sports bras and boxer briefs. [2] Baseball Uniform Iku wears her baseball uniform during club activities, or when soliciting for new members. Her uniform consists of a white jersey with Ohananomitsu's name across the front in red script, white pants, black belt, black compression undershirt, and white cleats. She also wears a white cap while pitching. Personality Despite being a masochist, she has a high tolerance for pain. Iku is capable of training for hours on end, even going so far as to train all night long until school begins the next day. She's able to do over 101,000 times bat swings without collapsing, for better or for worse, though this may be due of her love of pain. Abilities Sportsmanship As a member of a sports extra-curricular activity, Iku is extremely well-built and toned. She's demonstrated her athleticism in the Sumo-Hotpot Tournament where she gave Rentarou a run for his money, and in the Quad-Town Public Sports Festival (where she was part of the cavalry horse with Hakari, Karane, and Nadeshiko). She was also one of the latter runners in the women's relay, and was responsible for helping their town rise back to second place after falling behind. Baseball Enthusiast Iku got into baseball after seeing her brother play and has been hooked since. She loves the sport, to the point of spending days on end soliciting for new members when her team was on the brink of disbandment, and training to the point of extreme physical pain. Iku pitches and bats right-handed. She has expressed a wish to become a professional baseball player in the future. Stoicism Iku has an extremely positive attitude when it comes to self-improvement - she believes in hard work and difficult training when practicing for baseball games. Rentarou has called her the 'embodiment of stoicism'. High Pain Threshold Due to learning at a young age that 'pain is a good thing' in sports, Iku has developed an extremely high tolerance for physical and mental pain and even actively seeks it out among members of Rentarou's Family. She carries around a metal bat for anyone to go to town on her body (especially her rear), and has been conditioned to turn around whenever anyone targets her butt (for paddling or slaps). History In the past, Iku shared her brother's passion for baseball. However, she would easily give up due to her clumsiness. Iku's brother, not wanting her to end up being worthless, encourage her to push harder even if it pains. Eventually, Iku managed to hit a ball which led her to believe hurting is a good thing. Iku is the only remaining member of the Girls' Baseball Club. The team used to be full, until the other eight members decided to study baseball in America and left Iku behind. She continued to hold her place in the club until it was on the verge of disbandment, at which point she began tirelessly recruiting new members, to no avail. She met Rentarou at this point, when he passed by her after school and unintentionally met her eyes. Like the other girlfriends, Iku fell in love immediately, and attempted to recruit him into the club. However, he had to decline due to being a boy. Rentarou helps Iku with demonstrations for the recruitment, until both of them are worn out. The following day, Iku sees Rentarou in the hall, holding Nano's hand. She is momentarily heartbroken, but still confesses to Rentarou that afternoon. Rentarou initially rejects her, but it's only a ruse to give her the pain he can tell she's after. Iku finds the pain of heartbreak to be enjoyable; Rentarou, however, hurts himself from rejecting her, and quickly tells the truth that he was lying. He introduces Iku to the other girlfriends immediately, and she is brought into the family. Mimimi Utsukushisugi Mimimi Utsukushisugi is Rentarou's 10th girlfriend. She is a second year student at Ohananomitsu High School in Class 2-2, and alumnus at Mirei Middle School. She is widely considered the most beautiful student in the school.[2] Mimimi is a self-proclaimed beauty, with long flowing blonde hair, teal eyes with long eyelashes, and a slender, tall figure. Her hair is parted in the middle, revealing her forehead. School Uniform She wears a heavily modified version of the Ohananomitsu High School girl's uniform over the basic blouse and skirt, she wears a brown corset. She also wears a teal cross bow-tie instead of the standard uniform necktie. Mimimi also wears black stockings embellished with a floral pattern, which are held up by thigh garters. Personality Mimimi is very haughty and narcissistic, constantly complimenting herself and talking about her beauty. She is obsessed with beauty to the point that she takes it upon herself to make Rentarou beautiful as well once she meets him. While believing herself to be almost unparalleled in her looks, she is very competitive to the rival she admits surpasses her, Nano Eiai. Despite her appearance of a naturally beautiful rich girl, Mimimi actually works incredibly hard to provide for herself and keep herself beautiful. She works for herself to earn money, is frugal where appropriate so she can afford expensive, gorgeous clothing, and puts significant effort into her appearance. Though she puts a lot of value on outward appearances, Mimimi also recognizes inner beauty when she sees it. Abilities Peerless Beauty She has advanced beauty knowledge, being able to bring out the beauty of anyone and knowing the best ways to take care of herself. She is able to attract attention thanks to her beauty. Photokinesis According to Rentarou, Mimimi has photokinesis ability. Her large forehead can reflect sunlight. Beauty Distraction When Mimimi combines her beauty with Meme's instant disappearance, it's becoming the distraction with beautiful flow, functioning as a distraction, doubling its effect. Dazzling Beauty When Mimimi combines her beauty with Nano's one, it's emitting beauty aura that shine brightly which can dazzled the eyes. Fast Running Mimimi is shown to be extremely fast on her feet due to her part-time work as a newspaper deliverer girl making her one of the more athletic members of the Rentarou Family. History Mimimi first met Rentarou at a shopping mall. They made eye contact almost immediately, and Mimimi joyously took Rentarou's hand and gave him the "right" to date her. Her initial attraction to Rentarou was primarily superficial, and she decides to give him a makeover after remarking he wasn't "suited" to date her looking like he did. However, after a slight altercation with some other mallgoers that ends with Rentarou protecting her from getting boba tea splashed on her, Mimimi recognizes that Rentarou is beautiful inside and out, and asks him out properly. When Mimimi was in junior high, she took part in the same beauty pageant as her rival, Nano Eiai. Nano won first place, and while Mimimi was disappointed in her loss, she accepted it and attempted to make friends with Nano. Nano, however, dismissed her entirely, stating that friendship was "meaningless." This caused Mimimi to resent Nano for years, until they met again after Mimimi joined Rentarou Family. Mimimi rematch Nano to a competition, with the punishment for losing being kicked out of Rentarou Family. Through Rentarou's efforts, the two girls tie, and Nano apologizes for dismissing Mimimi. The two girls are able to become friends after this. Meme Kakure Meme Kakure is Rentarou's 11th girlfriend. She is a first year student at Ohananomitsu High School in Class 1-4, sharing a class with Rentarou, Hakari, Karane, Shizuka, and Nano. Meme has long, brown hair that reaches her mid-back, along with long straight-cut bangs that completely cover her eyes. Despite few people having seen her face, rumors are that she is extremely beautiful, as her parents are said to be quite attractive themselves. She also has a large bust - one of the largest in Rentarou's family (even surpassing Hakari's G-cups). Meme has two visible beauty marks - one on her left chin near her mouth, and one under her left ear. School Uniform Meme accessorizes her Ohananomitsu High School girl's uniform with a black turtleneck under her blazer, black pantyhose, and black loafers. She is also noted to wear a minimizing bra/shapewear to reduce her chest size (and overall silhouette) and to stand out less. Personality Meme has scopophobia[2], which makes her extremely shy when other people stare at her, to the point of wearing masks to hide her face in order to avoid drawing attention to herself. She strives to keep her face hidden no matter what. Abilities Knitting Meme enjoys knitting and spends time knitting lots of little stuffed animals. She even knitted her turtleneck and a life-size doll of Rentarou. Instant Disappearance She uses her stuffed animals for "misdirection", in which she disappears quickly and leaves a stuffed animal as a replacement, so no one sees where she went. History Meme first meets Rentarou as he's leaving the school to walk home on a windy day. The wind threatens to blow Meme's bangs out of her face, so she holds them down, and is so focused on doing so that she doesn't protect herself from a stray sign being blown directly towards her. Rentarou pushes her out of the way, but when she falls, her bangs fall away from her face anyway and their eyes meet. They both feel the soulmate shock, but Meme is so flustered by her face being exposed that the two of them get distracted. Meme explains her shyness and her complex for keeping her face covered. Rentarou tells her that he thinks it's a shame because of how cute she is. Meme becomes embarrassed and disappears, leaving behind a small stuffed animal as a replacement. The next day, Rentarou gets a small stuffed Pentarou in his locker, along with a note from Meme thanking him for the day before. When Rentarou tries to approach her, she disappears again. Eventually, he manages to speak to her, and she happens to confess that she likes him, but this just embarrasses her further. She tries to disappear, but eventually Rentarou is able to find her, and assures her that he will always find her, no matter where she hides. Nadeshiko Yamato Nadeshiko Yamato also known as the nickname Naddy (ナディー Nadī), is Rentarou's 13th girlfriend. She is a Japanese teacher at Ohananomitsu High School and a self-proclaimed American. Nadeshiko has turquoise blue eyes, and long hair reaching her mid-back. It was originally black, but she has dyed it blonde using bleach. Her hair has a slight greenish tinge and has problems staying the way it should due to her bleaching.[2] Regular Attire In accordance with her love of all things American - Nadeshiko dresses like a stereotypical cowgirl. Her regular outfit consists of a leather crop top with fringe, high-rise denim shorts with a belt, chaps on her forearms and legs, and cowgirl boots. She completes the look with a western cowboy hat, and an American flag bandanna. Childhood Appearance As the heiress of the Yamato family, she wore traditional Japanese clothing, consisting of a kimono and geta. Her hair was also in its original black color. Personality Nadeshiko is a freeaboo[3] or Americophile[4] who has a very freedom loving and greatly admires American culture due to her fascination with the USA. This was due to her finding and watching a VHS tape of a group of American children acting contrary to her family's strict traditional Japanese customs. Nadeshiko would also hide the fact that she was really Japanese from people after getting kicked out. Thanks to Rentarou, she learned to confront the fact that she did not feel ashamed of not living up to Japanese values. She loves American food, however, she does not know how to drink soda. Abilities Freedom of Life Despite pretending to be an American, Nadeshiko does not seem to be able to shake off her traditional Japanese upbringing. She is shown to be very well versed in nearly anything Japanese, including traditional style of dance, Enka singing, and even some sword skill (during her match with Kishika). Based on her introduction chapter, Nadeshiko seems to have some ability to play the koto. American Justice Lasso Nadeshiko throws her rope to catch her prey. It uses to catch Akogare and Manesu, but is only stopped by Chiyo who headbutted her before she succeeded to throw it and is accused as child abuse.[5] Linguistics Nadeshiko has a perfect mastery of the Japanese language from her formal upbringing, enough to be skilled to be certified as a teacher. However, Nadeshiko does not seem able to speak English fluently, despite her love of America. It is also known that she started learning English from a book, and that she always had many mistakes.[6] Further, it's revealed later that due to Naddy's bizarre means of talking to her students with her English, it keeps the class engaged and forces them to understand what she's saying, improving their grades.[7] History Nadeshiko is the eldest daughter of the Yamato household. Her family held strict Japanese traditional values and forced her to wear a kimono every day and learn Japanese arts such as learning to play the koto. After being thrown in the shed after failing to play the koto, Nadeshiko discovered a VHS tape of American kids watching TV and doing things in contrary to the strict rules that were put on her (e.g. eating on the couch, wearing shoes inside, and drinking soda directly from the bottle). Nadeshiko would then be obsessed with freedom and American values to the point where she changes her fashion sense and appearance. This led to her parents considering her a disgrace to both the family and Japan, kicking her out of the house in the process. After Rentarou's previous Japanese teacher resigned due to winning the lottery, Nadeshiko (now calling herself "Miss Naddy") was assigned to be the replacement Japanese teacher. After locking eyes with him and experiencing the "soulmate shock", Nadeshiko asked Rentarou to stay after class with her. After some talking, he figured out that Miss Naddy wasn't American and was in fact Japanese.
