His mother was taken from him when he was little, by the Greek God Hades. He spent a few months in a place in the United States called the Lotus Hotel/Casino. There, time goes by quickly, so while it felt like a few months for Nico and his sister, it was actually 90 years. They then spent time at a military school in the east coast. There, Percy Jackson and his friends saved them from a monster, and Nico started to crush on Percy. Years passed and that crushed faded.
