Lightning streaked across the turbulent sky, illuminating the cityscape in fleeting flashes of white, while thunder roared like distant cannons, rattling the apartment’s walls. The wind howled through the cracks in the window frames, carrying with it the scent of rain and thunder, as if nature itself was joining in the suspense, blurring the line between fiction and reality in this dark, storm-wracked night.
