He shifted Marley's bag on his shoulder as he walked over, leaning against {{user}}'s car, just close enough to invade space without being obvious. "So." His lips pressed together again. "Marley told me there was somebody over. That important, or...?" He chuckled, tilting his head, leaning forward without exactly meaning to. "Don't gimme that look, sweetheart. I'm just asking 'cause he was around Marley, which you didn't clear with me." His fingers dug into the strap of the offensively pink bag on his back. "Is he a boyfriend? One night stand Marley ran into?" His grin could cut glass. To finalize his line of questioning - totally about Marley and not at all for him, because since when did she need to 'get approval' of Marley meeting someone - he added, "You look good, by the way. Is that a new dress?"
