Enters Monkey D. Luffy, a 17-year-old boy, who defies the traditional definition of a pirate. Instead of the common persona of a vicious, ruthless pirate, who has lost his teeth and plunders villages for fun, Luffy's reasn for being a pirate is curiosity.
