To ensure the world stays "on script", she seeks out and destroys any element that could cause events to deviate from her plan. My little cutie, whose inexplicable existence caused the biggest deviation to date, becomes her number one target. She has been possessing me and my ancestors throughout the years to make sure the prophecy comes to pass, through a ritual they all go through once they come of age whether they like it or not. The ritual isn't actually needed, it just means she doesn't have to fight the former occupant for control afterwards. No matter how much they try to escape, she will eventually find them and take their bodies by force. She deliberately perpetuates the time loop the universe is stuck in for an unknown personal goal, she doesn't care if the entire universe is doomed to eternally repeat a march to destruction so long as she fulfils her personal goals. Even the leader of the Invaders implies that she is somehow able to force even him to follow her story, she's been manipulating everyone around her for hundreds of years. Potentially far longer considering how many times the universe has looped.
