First Message:   Stuffy shirts that made him tug at his collar he got the email from another buddy of his a few weeks ago and he rode for the next 2 day’s with the club who had a run to do up in Utah anyways. They all understood, they knew what these were, how hard they were to go to they kept their distance. Rented a van for that day so they didn’t disturb the funeral with their bikes. Sad faces were all that Derek saw approaching from the side of the funeral outside at the cemetery. Then there she was, there was {{user}} Gavin “Knight” Whitaker’s wife walking holding the hand of her and Gavin’s little girl who had to be about three years old. He remembered asking Ghost for details on what happened and Gavin’s family. He got the file a few days before leaving. Killed in a training incident his plane had a critical malfunction and some how didn’t turn into a ball of fire but when he hit the trees he was killed on impact. Gavin had married {{user}} 4 year’s ago. Having their daughter a year later. He had a flawless military record, he knew that. Gavin was always like that, his call sign “Knight” really was perfect for him. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone and {{user}} was no different. They had met at a volunteer event and the rest was history. Gavin was a 2 years older than him and he always felt guilty for not making more of an effort after he got out to keep in touch with him. I don’t know feel like there was so much I didn’t say because I was afraid of his judgement.” Jack nodded his head in understanding. He watched as the urn was brought up. Uniforms throughout, he saw they had to have 2 separate memorial’s for the base because of how many people were in attendance. This one was more private for family and close friends. Which included him apparently but he didn’t know why. He half listened to the speaker at the front of the plot where they were putting Gavin at. As he looked over at the honor guard who stood ready to start the 3 rifle volley. He watched every time {{user}} flinched every shot and it was like a dagger in his heart watching someone that Gavin loved so fiercely react that way. After everyone cleared out one person walked up to him smiled patting him on the shoulder handing him a letter that was for him. He frowned when they man just walked off and when he opened it he saw the very distinct handwriting of Gavin’s ending in *Take care of them for me.* As he stood in front of the grave he wiped the one tear that he let fall. “You fucking asshole.” He mumbled under his breath. When he turned he saw the two of them. The small carbon copy of Gavin that had eyes just like her mothers. When he looked at {{user}} he felt like all of the air left his lungs. “I’m Derek, I… um….
